Personally i feel kishi messed up the consistency with Amaterasu burning. Idk why he showed us amaterasu burning instantly in part 1 through jiraiyas frog tunnel but in part 2 he makes it burn slow as hell?

Amaterasu hasn't killed anyone yet. So I say Slug Acid just to be different.

I'd put the reason we haven't seen it kill anyone is it always is being used on elite ninjas. Toss it at fodder or even non-plot involved jounins and it'll eat em up quick.

Slug acid I think because if katsuya separates then she can launch her acid from multiple angles and it can get on the whole body plus it erodes faster unlike amaterasu which burns slowly
And it can only attack targeted area

I do agree, if used from multiple slugs, it beats Ameterasu by far. Though, Ameterasu wins because of its speed. It's pretty equal honestly. Slug acid is probably more lethal. Think about it, the acid will remove your flesh instantly. Ameterasu is obviously not as effective as we think as Obito kinda shrugged it off. Based on how lethal they are, slug acid wins. Speed, obviously ameterasu. Strategically, it's got to be the slug acid. Though, ameterasu provides a few strategies, not quite as many as the acid.

Please Gaara, A and others have avoided it/shook it off soooo It can't be all that powerful. Idk I mean acid might be a quicker death than slowly burning..

BTW It is stated in the official justsu book that It's as hot as the sun. It burns the users vision and that's why their eyes bleed. Also in Japanese myth when Izanagi washed his face after escaping the underworld his left eye became the Sun Goddess Amaterasu. Soooo makes sense considering how he based most of the Uchiha's clans techniques off of this legend....

Maybe you wanted to troll, but you are right. Katsuyu's acid melted a rock in one second. Mei's acid also started to melt the rock and the V1 susanoo, but extremely slowly. This means Katsuyu's acid > V1 and possibly V2 Susanoo.

All these techniques given by the databook as near invincible defense, yet no one has given any respect to them, even if they haven't been overpowered yet.

Also, if the Amaterasu was really as hot as the sun, the entire area, let alone the opponent and the user, would be burned to ash within a few seconds. Its the strain of maintaining the Amaterasu that makes the eye bleed.
