Not Naruto VS Sasuke... But Naruto and Hinata vs Sasuke and Sakura. And I understand some of you may dissaprove of this idea for shipping reasons, but just bear with me. The idea has potential.
So, this is taking place at the end of the war. Sasuke's true motive is revealed, and while it's not exactly an evil one for selfish intentions, it's a very blunt one that the majority disagree with because they're both behind Naruto's resolve. So.. Sasuke is shunned once more from the alliance, all of K10 and the 5 Kage. But this time, Sakura steps in to defend him and his reasoning, while using Naruto's childhood and struggles as a template for her debate. She reasons that he should understand Sasuke's resolve more than anything, and that he's actually sympathizing for him, and argues that nobody should have to go what he went through as a Jinchuuriki child, and that Sasuke's plan can prevent any more people from ever going through what he did. However, Naruto has already had his faith tested as a Jin (by Pain), so he tells her about how being a Jin isn't all that bad.
But at this point, Sasuke understands how futile it is to debate with 1000 people, especially Naruto, and begins walking away. But before jumping off, he offers Sakura to come with him. She exchanges looks with Tsunade, and walks off. Tsunade says nothing but instead closes her eyes and turns around. Of course, Naruto is left in awe, not knowing what to do.
[time passes, plot stuff happens, but hes still a little down about it]
Eventually, Hinata gathers up the courage to talk to Naruto and tell him how she feels and how she's always felt. The difference is that this time, instead of misinterpreting her words as 'you're a friend' like he always does, he really, really gets the message and what she's saying. Knowing Kishi though, they'll never flat out start dating or get into a relationship, but they do go out for ramen and evetually get closer.
[more plot stuff happens]
so later on, Naruto is in Tsunade's office, and the Anbu come in and report that Sasuke is on his way to the village to take Naruto and his Tailed Beast. He claims he's on his way to 'save Naruto'. Tsunade being the Hokage she is, initially says 'I'll handle this'. But Naruto being the hero he is, argues it's his business and that he'll be the one to bear Sasuke's hands.
So. Naruto is leaving the village. He apporaches the gates, and suddenly Hinata comes up behind him and tells him she's coming. Of course, Naruto objects and they argue. Then, for the first time in the series, Hinata raises her voice and tells him he can't stop her. So, they both end up leaving and encounter Sasuke and Sakura, and fight.
So... what do you think? If you dissaprove, please give reasons why.
