The clone didnt go poof cuz it had more chakra then kirabi itself.
Amaterasu burns slow for plot reasons, when needed it also burns fast.

Expending cloak for amaterasu is like expanding susanoo parts, costly move. Eventually no protection. But kagutsuchi swords is big and along with arrows can pierce that to hit naruto.

Naruto's BM cloak is roughly same size. It was one amaterasu burst yet the flames were pretty big in comparison, now with enton sasuke can take the firepower to new level.

Bottom line the cloak wont live for long. Not to mention that i dont recall naruto growing any arms or anything when in full kurama form.

Itachi burned through Jiraiyas frog stomach in second, but when he out of the picture and flames were left by themselves they werent making the hole bigger, not at all. They stayed there, but werent burning frog stomach furter.

When user focuses his eye he simply adds more fire(spams more ama) to the same place further increasing fire more. Amaterasu doesnt burn slower cuz u dont look at it geez.
