]. Gaara falls victim to a amaterasu right off the bat IMO. The majority of Gaara sand attacks i see no reason why Itachi can't easily evade them with his amazingly shunshin feats he has shown in the manga.

Then theres totsuka blade which is a pretty much 1 hit combo. Regarding Gaaras evil eye that he can use to counter Itachi's genjutsu and where he hides in a small sand dome using the eye for his vision[

]. Note that i believe there is a reliable counter to this. The eye it self has only been shown to have a straight forward view of the users surroundings, never has it been shown to have a 360 degree view unless im mistaken. Itachi can use his crow clone as a way to surround the Evil eye to block Gaaras vision.

will be able to penetrate it causing gaara damage.

Sand coffin can be easily nullified by activating sussano. Gaara changing the surface beneath Itachi feet also become ineffective due to ribcage sussano. All in all i dont see gaara dodging Amaterasu much less avoiding tysukuyomi with the use of itachi and using his crow clones, getting Gaara in a genjutsu wont be a difficult task.

Since you said this is a edo itachi he does have to worry about and chakra consumption or depletion. You say the only counter to shukaku, im assuming you mean gaara in his full tailed beast form? While i do agree totsuka blade would pretty much one shot shukaku in his tailed beast form along with gaara as seeing a tailed beast is such a large target, a simple amaterasu would take care of shukaku as shown against the 8 tails amaterasu pretty much owned it.[

so i think reasonably to concur that it will be able to stand in gaaras sand. Even if the sand starts to reach Edo itachi's feet it has already been shown in the manga that a

I already countered the dome of sand that gaara can sit in, it has already been shown that

The scan of gaara using his sealing pyramid technique on the mizukage was also due to the fact of multiple shinobi also helping to subdue the mizukage which gave gaara the chance to use it.

His normal Sand Manipulation was also far Superior while he was a Jinchuriki. Simple manipulation like this is enough to force Itachi into Susano'O.

The sand missing from the dome was the sand crushing Deidara's arm. Also, the sand waves will be much higher than just Itachi's feet.

Even do i still believe Itachis yaska magatamas will be able to leave an opening in the dome as seeing this a Edo Itachi he will be able to throw multiple. His panting was due to the massive amount of sand manipulation of blocking C3, backed up by the fact he already dodged a similar attack earlier no problem.

I dont see anything coming off the dome, it has a few burn marks from the explosion but thats about it.

The anime goes into greater detail of bits of the sand falling off of the dome. The panting was not only due to the blocking of C3 you clearly see the bomb go off near the dome and gaara taking a bit of the damage as you can clearly see him going '' huff huff''

Anime isn't canon :/ The manga doesn't show the bits falling off so it didn't happen (In the anime, Sasuke with 2T could see through Shadow Clones)

That was in part 1, In part 1 Deidara's explosisves would have easily made it through.
