Hmm.. For me it wasn't anything remarkable, though I've only watched the first episode, but I bet some might find it interesting~
Don't know how you reached the conclusion about it being overrated, seems a bit harsh.
Oh, well, I advice you to not trust those and not use them as a guide to good anime.
I don't paricularly care about rankings and such, it's silly. In my experience it'd be best for you to go by what others say that you meet on forums and so on, see for yourself and then decide, because these charts do not correspond much at all to how I feel, for example, considering.

You're better off just searching up the list of animes for the season and watching the trailers to form your own opinion rather than looking at a list of someone's favorite animes for the season.

And OreGairu is awesome, 8man is probably my favorite main character of the season.

Hachiman is Kyon reloaded, along with Yozora, Mikuru, and the gang from Haganai. The whole show is a mix of Haruhi and Haganai. No matter how many praises are heaped on it, it's just another cliche club anime with rehashed characters and plot which are done well that doesn't have anything that separates it from other shows.

Oh look, Hachiman tolerates a *****! He forgets to say that ***** is a total beauty, and is half the reason why he hasn't given up on her. Smh. It's a feel-good anime for otaku who have forgotten how to talk to girls and/or like dominatrix women.

So true, but i would rather watch this than those average School Harem series *cough OreImo Cough* *Cough Date A Life Cough* or that Gargantia, let alone the fact that am a fan of Haruhi and Haganai so everything is fine for me.

Gargantia is not a school-life series, and it's loads better than Yahari no Ripoff.

yeah i know, but it looks like E7 to me.....
i haven't watched the last Ep heck am still on Ep 6 since am waiting for it to end before watching it in 1 go!!!,
but now i need to recover from Angel Beats Ep 10...
