After the violent confrontation between Kakuzu, and his ex-partner Hidan, Kakuzu progressively moved onward getting closer, and closer toward the North Gate of Kumogakure. Kakuzu than deployed his hearts in which he positioned them: The Katon, & Fuuton Mask within the front, and The Raiton Mask covering his 6 O'clock. After positioning his Masks, Kakuzu then goes on to perform the hand seals Rat → Dog → Tiger enabling the Katon Mask to emit Katon: Zukokku within Kakuzu's 12 o'clock direction, while simultaneously performing the Ram hand seal causing the Fuuton Mask to emit Fuuton: Atsugai integrating into Katon: Zukokku causing everything within Kakuzu's frontal view to be charred to ashes.
Three shadows jump out of the direct impact in which the Zukokku + Atsugai combination was aimed. The three shinobi then position themselves in a triangular formation encasing Kakuzu within the space, surrounding him completely.
Karui: You Akatsuki scum won't evade Kumogakure that's for sure!! We will crush you here, and now you bastard!
Omoi: Karui.. Do not underestimate him. He is after all, an Akatsuki member.

Karui being the hot-headed member of Team Samui goes in to attack Kakuzu head on from his 12 o'clock. Karui while running at Kakuzu full speed reaches behind her back with her right arm to unsheathe her sword, while doing this she is confronted by both the Katon, and Fuuton mask, in which Karui quickly takes to the ground, and slides to evade confrontation from either mask. Once she is out of harms way she upturns her sword, and sends it straight into Kakuzu's chest aiming for his heart.
Omoi seeing his teammate Karui take up the courage to make the first attack takes the initiative to attack Kakuzu as well striking from his 6 o'clock in which Omoi went head on against the Raiton mask. Omoi at the beginning of the confrontation unsheathed his sword, and used his chakra affinity to his advantage by channeling his Raiton chakra throughout the blade to increase his lethality. Once Omoi channeled his chakra flow, he jumps in the air gaining momentum in which he uses to bypass Kakuzu's Raiton mask, and completely beheads Kakuzu using Kumo-Ryū Uragiri in sync with Karui's assault.
Kakuzu being confronted by a infuriated Karui aiming to pierce his heart, activates Doton: Domu in which solidifies his skin to block all physical techniques that oppose him. Once he does this he is blitzed by Omoi who completely avoided Kakuzu's Raiton mask, and went for him instead. Kakuzu not having enough time to dodge relies on his Doton: Domu in which is rendered ineffective due to Omoi's Raiton channeling throughout his sword. Kakuzu is then beheaded, and stabbed within the heart causing him to quench in pain, while dropping to the ground lifelessly.
Omoi: Were you not just listening Karui? This guy has five hearts, we've only successfully destroyed one, stop being impulsive, and think strategic!
Samui: Excellent teamwork you to, keep your guard up though the worse has yet to come..
Kakuzu: You were given a choice.. And you've secured your death. Hopefully you Kumogakure pest have a bit of a bounty on your heads..
Seconds later after Kakuzu is beheaded, and ridden of his Doton heart, his threads come together to stitch his head back together, along with Kakuzu's Raiton mask integrating back into Kakuzu's body to revive his lifeless body. Kakuzu then swiftly blitzes Karui who was distracted by her gloating, and insults, taking her by the neck with his right arm squeezing her neck until she stops breathing, in which Kakuzu then places his left arm upon her chest unleashing his Jiongu threads attaching them to the area in which her heart is located forcefully infiltrating, and removing her organ.
Omoi in fear, scurries to Samui's presence positioning himself side by side Samui in which he can feel her trembling as well. Omoi than looks back at a dead Karui, then glances at the monster in which was Kakuzu who held Karui's heart within his left hand. Omoi due to utter fear, and obvious inferiority to Kakuzu, puked kneeling on the ground clinging to life itself as if these would be his very last moments.
Samui witnessing Kakuzu completely devour Karui's heart within his Rag-Doll body structure trembled in fear as Omoi. But witnessing her subordinate in a trance, she could not show signs of weakness. Samui grabbed Omoi by his shoulder, and stood him up giving him a glare, followed by a fake smile.
Samui: You damned monster! Listen everything will be alright Omoi. Keep fighting, we cannot let him get into Kumogakure, and capture Yugito Nii!
Omoi: He is a demon, a monster from Hell! Do you not see what he did to Karui?! And you expect us to defeat him!?! He was right it's all just a futile act Samui! -Slapped By Samui-

Samui after lecturing an entranced Omoi charges Kakuzu unsheathing her Tanto in which she tries to slam into his weak point; his heart. Samui then calls out to Omoi in which snaps out of his trance, and looks at Samui fighting the demon in which is Kakuzu.
Omoi then rushes into battle with his leader Samui picking up his sword channeling his Raiton chakra within the blade aiming at his heart as well. Omoi while in close range once again relies on his proficient capabilities within Kenjutsu, and uses the technique: Kumo-Ryū Mikazukigiri trying to bisect Kakuzu once again, but due to his previous state of mind encased in fear, Omoi was inaccurate in his positioning of the blade, causing death itself to approach.
Kakuzu being rushed by both Samui, and Omoi took to the offensive by positioning his Fuuton mask in his 12 o'clock direction then performing the Ram hand seal. This caused Kakuzu's Fuuton mask to emit a large-scale Fuuton: Atsugai in which blew back both Samui, and Omoi. Kakuzu in collaboration once again performed the hand seals Rat → Dog → Tiger causing the Katon mask to emit Katon: Zukokku. An outburst of flame then took place behind the large-scale wind, in which caused a huge explosion of which neither Samui nor Omoi could escape.

Kakuzu: -shields his eyes- .. How annoying.. The Kumogakure scum just keep coming..
