-I agree with everything TheEvilOne said. But you guys are missing one thing, the human body's cells divide every second that we live or something like that. Also damaging the body also make the cells divide. The first also has the similar jutsu to be able to regenerate, mention by Madara. Yes, the limit to the human cell's division is limited, but being a Senju AND Uzumaki that both has great life force and longevity which simply allows Tsunade to live longer than nearly everyone in the Naruto series. Tsunade has been out of battle for decades, and she has been saving chakra, and her body's cells was not dividing at an accelerated rate. Hiruzan, 3rd Hokage, has lived 70 years and been through wars, injured, cells divided countless time, and he's not even a Senju or Uzumaki or both.
-Tsunade's body is durable because she survived the teleportation jutsu that can only be done with the Raikage. She did not release the seal before or during the teleportation, and still have minor scratches. The teleportation, the word itself, means instant transportation, and her regeneration is not instant, it may be quick but not instant. So in the recent episode, you cannot see that her body healing, and like in the episode where she first used this, it release some sort of smoke and sizzle.
- With the injuries she have sustained through the series, I doubt that she has shortened her life much. With all the injuries she has sustained, the amount of cells lost, can or would be possible to be recovered in time of months or a few years. Remember how her grandmother is living from before Konoha until mid reign of the 3rd, so I'd say that she lived over 100 years. Now add that to the Senju's DNA as well.
- Um blood lost isn't really a great deal of conflict here... Did you see the other kage's injuries, and also not to mention other characters that has survived a much greater deal of blood lost and survived. By the way, Tsunade can also use her regeneration to extreme precision as to regrow enough of her skin cells to keep from bleeding and deal with all her injuries through the healing of her slug, suggests a restricted rate of cell division.
- I agree that this world also has a set of rules but some are also not based on reality. BenjerminGaye,You keep bring up the rules that this manga abide by. This world has the rule set of supernatural capabilities. Please tell me more about this logic of Narutoverse. TheEvilOne's first comment was the prove that the rules or whatever you are trying to say invalid, even your later comments. Did you also notice how in this manga, people also has the option of evading death in so many many many ways, like Izanagi, or one or how in this manga people can bring back the dead? One female who is the descendant of the Senju clan and Uzumaki which are both descendant of the Sage of Sixth Paths whom they inherited his physical super DNA... *_* I really am at a lost of word or what to call it... Physical ability? body?... etc....
- Where did you hear that being Senju and Uzumaki only increases chakra level? Read from Wiki. It clearly says that "As a direct descendant of the Senju clan, Tsunade inherited an incredibly strong life force and physical energy, granting her great durability, stamina and chakra reserves. At the same time, as also a direct descendant of the Uzumaki clan, her life force is blessed with immense vitality and endurance; in addition, stemming from this gives her the potential for an exceptionally long lifespan."
- Tsunade has only recently in her time of "peace" created the regeneration jutsu which I would say only has healed all the major injuries that we've seen in the series.
- regii sanguinis mention and prove that Tsunade's body is durable. Tsunade survived due through regeneration, yes but the time between her receiving those injuries and the time that she released the jutsu is quite long, and a normal person would have definitely die out or unable to move.
I honestly like the fact that she survived although I can't say that her dying off would be a total disaster. She is a major supporting character in the series and she is the greatest female ninja. I also like the fact that Sakura might get more screen time but I am still hoping that Tsunade has become a Sage considering her massive amount of Chakra. Her chakra level could easily more than Naruto ( without the 9 tail chakra ) considering that she has more experience ( LOTS more, by wars and battles ) and she is also part of the Senju's clan. It was stated by Sakura during the chakra control training that in experience you can gain bigger a chakra pool. Tsunade's yin seal has been storing up chakra for decades and we all know that she has huge amount of chakra. Now to say that chakra regeneration were to completely fill the chakra pool within 1, 2, or 3 days then multiply that by hundreds of times... Lets say Tsunade's chakra is 1/125 of a tailed beast... Please remember that she has a lot of chakra reserve. Now decades, thousands of days... If she were to use her chakra to the fullest, it could easily be equal to multiple tailed beasts. She could easily use it to enhance her speed and defense. I still don't understand why Tsunade has never used a chakra shield considering how she has so much talent in chakra control.
Anyways I hope she survives but I wouldn't mind seeing Tsunade shine bright for the last time in the upcoming battle =D

:heh:
