Why third hokage was revived by edo tensei as an elderly man?

then why kishi has brought old sarutobi?

Well it woudnt matter . Coz even if the third is revived as an old man, he still knows all the techniques he learned during his prime when he was young . When he was alive and died in the orochimaru fight , the only problem was that he was old and didnt have the stamina and chakra reserves , but since now hes an edo , he got unlimted chakra and stamina

oro brought back the hokages in the condition they died in but since kabuto was better at edo tensei he was able to bring back a young madara. but i think this is just a plot hole by kishi

Tsunade is Hashirama's GRAND DAUGHTER. and from the manga he met Tsunade and even had the chance to spoil her. so he must have died old if he had the chance to see his grand daughter.

I never understood why people claim Edo Hiruzen is Prime Hiruzen. Yes, he has stamina and chakra reserves, but that doesn't include his diminished strength. Even in Edo mode, he'll have a hard time holding up Enma. The same thing could be said for Nagato. He was revived as an Edo, gaining unlimited chakra and having limitless stamina, yet he still lacked mobility due to his charred legs he received prior to becoming Pain. And I'm sure Chiyo could've benefitted from being in a younger body, as well.
