Don't watch it, honestly, it's a waste of your time. Read it. No point in watching 600+ episodes which have an average chapter content of what, 1.13? Unless you're already addicted it's a waste of like 150 hours of your time? Just read it, at most it'll take 12 hours, and that's if you're slow. That way you can marathon through it and decide whether you like it. Watching long running anime is like watching a pot boil, unless you love what's in there it's pointless. Might as well watch a shorter anime like FMAB or Code Geass with the left over time.

Although, if you're an anime only person, might as well just ride it out.

I agree with this, honestly. but then again, I'm a manga person only, so my post might be biased.

Meh, there are some moments that you have to see in anime imo. Though OP demands patience I recommend to watch the anime.

>Some moments
>Moments
>Moments vs 150 hours
>You should spend 150 hours of your time for just a few moments, even though there's a faster alternative; but trust me, the moments are worth the wait.
I suck at blacktexting C:
Anyway, I'm sure you've got the point, might as well read the manga; and if you feel there's moments that need to be watched, then epsiode hop them.

No. I think deciding whether or not you like a series like One Piece that follows a continuous storyline from one episode makes you immature. Either that, or you have the attention span of a child.

You Can't determine a story's Worth from one chapter.
The first episode it what supposed to get you hooked. Also the guy spent watching a 100 episodes without enjoying it SMH

Why do you have to comment on a thread about a series you don't like?

I'm not aloud to have questions?

where in the guy's post did he say that he didn't like the first 100 episodes?
just because someone doesn't like the first episode doesn't mean that they wont like the whole series

don't pay attention to this guy..keep watching one piece, the alabasta arc, most of sky island, water 7,impel down, marine ford, and shabody arc are great..
It makes no sense that someone would continue to watch something they don't like, if you hate the first hundrend episodes of something why would you continue watching? Skip the ones you hate or read a summary. People try too hard to like something lol

1 episode is too harsh lol, but if you seriously watch 100 episodes of something you don't like and continue to watch it theres something wrong with you.

the guy said he likes it just that its gotten boring now and is asking when it picks up again. He did not say at any point that he didnt like it.... Just out of interest how many eps of OP did you watch or read?

I don't get it why would people continue to watch something after they don't enjoy the first episode lol

Because One Piece has a huge fanbase, and were wondering why they like it so much.

would you skip to the end of a movie just cause you didn't like the first 5 minutes?:|

That arguement doesnt apply here due to the fact that one piece isnt a 1:30min movie, its several hundred hours..

a huge fanbase ? you mean in Japan right ?

You're right, it's not like Japan has millions of people on it. Japan is just some tiny 3rd world island country with lots of small-eyed short people who number in the hundreds. It's not like One Piece sells millions over there. It doesn't matter that it sells where it matters.

Naruto is better because it sells in America. America = World.

If you're enjoying the series and like it why should you bother counting how many hours?
It took me 6 months to catch up and I wasn't just watching it 24/7. You get better experience from seeing the anime.
That's why I recommend him to watch that, plain and simple.

For me when I saw Zoro (episode 2 I believe) I fell in love with OP and I only got more hooked the further I've gotten into the series.

It's hard to say, One Piece does take getting some use to I admit that fully.

What happened to me an One Piece was that my sister prompted me to read it a very long time ago, I picked it up, started to read and... I didn't get it.
I was put off by the art, it was to weird to me, I just... didn't get it, so I put it on a shelf, for YEARS.

Then one day, I got a crick in my back, I couldn't move from my bed, at all, and for some reason... I have no idea why, years after having given up on the series I thought. "I'm gonna give One Piece a go again." and started to watch snippets of the anime.

By the end of that back-pain exsperience, I had turned from "Meh." in regards to One Piece I had known of for years into. "OH MY GOD THIS IS THE GREATEST THING EVAAAR HOW COULDN'T I HAVE KNOWN?!"

Some-thing like that at least.

I do think some of it has to do is that I gave myself the time to be really indulged in the story, I will say One Piece does start off kind of slow, it's amusing in the beginning and becomes better in retro-spect as these all things pops up again and are used in new ways, though yeah, in the beginning in the set-up phase, it does look like a regular manga.

And we have to go pretty far before suddenly it turns around and you realise it's any-thing but, the Water Seven arch is just the manga reaching a whole new level of. "Omg!"
But that's pretty darn far into the book.

The Orange island arch is pretty emotionally involving and the Drum island arch where they meet chopper is the first time I had to sniff a genuine tear over this thing.

One Piece is a very different unique thing, there is little like it and therefor it does take getting some used to. Both in regards to art, humour and utter randomness (On the surface.)

It's okay if you never get used to it, with some-thing as unique as this, it's a lot to ask for that every-body will just love it.
But I hope you can have some fun with it and just laugh and go with it. It's a very funny manga and was so from the beginning, and it only gets even funnier as it goes on.
