A rant about something I've been concerned about recently and the effects its having while I read the Naruto Manga and watch the Anime. This is my opinion. Just because you don't agree, doesn't mean I'm wrong. Opinion.

Anyway onto the point. The original Naruto. A topic that is brought up in the past by previous threads from different people. Let me clarify this, I enjoy Naruto Shippuden, its still great.

The original Naruto, was about Ninjas. It was about a parentless boy who couldn't control his chakra because of the Nine Tails. It involved Naruto's struggle, Ninja Tools actually hitting people, yeah right? Remember when they actually hurt people and didn't get deflected? When it wasn't all just about Jutsu, it had a great element of Taijutsu. When all characters developed together? When Gaara was considered extremely strong, far stronger than anybody, like Neji? When clans were actually cool? When Naruto was attacked by all different types of Ninja?

Naruto Shippuden lacks so much of what the Original series has.

Its like going from Dragonball to Dragonball Z
Techniques are barely used and its all about the Beams and explosions and such. When the main character Goku and Vegeta are merely the only two characters including his son Gohan to actually get any proper development, similar to Naruto and Sasuke in Naruto Shippuden.

Kishimoto being a fan of Dragonball and Akira Toriyama, must of thought "Hey people enjoyed Dragonball Z more than Dragonball, so maybe if I create a shippuden. It will be more popular!", No. This setting he changed too was a bad choice in my opinion. He didn't need to change Naruto, it was perfect how it was.

Just kidding.

In Shippuden, the story got a lot deeper. I just wish Kishi hadn't waited until the War Arc to add character development to the konoha 11, because in part 1 they actually had a role.

Apparently your logic is, if something is better than another thing, they cannot be compared, which isn't true, at least in my case.
I wasn't comparing them, I was matching them because of the similar cause. Also that is your opinion.

I am not talking about just Naruto in general, I'm more talking about the general involvement in characters, story and how it all balanced out in the original series.

i somewhat agree. the op stuff was going to happen. NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU MAY TRY TO AVOID IT.

However, i do wish that kishi had spent more time with character developement, and haveing some more interaction with the different characters. (like the anime did with the good fillers....3 tails arc is perfect example)

So if kishi did more character development like oda does in one piece naruto couldve been much better.

Its not really that naruto is bad because of something it has, just that naruto couldve been much better if it had something more.

But ill say it again....from the get go, naruto was destined to have op powerlevels. It couldve had more development, and a larger variety of techniques, but the power levels were going to go up.

Yeah, but they over exaggerated them. The original Naruto a Ninja Tool itself was enough to nearly kill someone. Jutsu was barely a secondary usage. It was more about Taijutsu

I agree completely. I like Part I for being actually about ninja. But then again, I like Part II as well, for different reasons, I guess, but I still favour non-OP characters that are less combat-oriented.
