Are the battles too big?

Is it just me, or are the battles getting to big to be interesting? In the old days, when there was something big, it was a BIG DEAL! The battle of the three Sanin is one of my favorite in Naruto. But starting sometime around the start of the ninja war, the battles got really big and uninteresting. They just stopped being smart and became a huge dicksizing contest. Who can use the biggest attack? I wish that people like Madara and the First fought more like Minato, just faster and smarter than everyone else.

It's reminiscent of DBZ. Yesterday I watched the Orochimaru vs 4-Tailed Kyuubi epsiodes and the set up for the fight was unbelieveably slow. I couldn't stop thinking of DBZ.

I completely agree with you, it's not as entertaining as it used to be

I agree you can tell that its gotten out of hand because hashirama can summon a statue the size of a mountain and madara can shoot down meteors

Yep DBZ is exactly it. First there was strategy but now it's just who has the biggest power level. In this case who has the most or infinite chakra.

Explain how Madara used strategy when he wiped the alliance out with a meteor. Or when he cut the Kages down with Ultimate Susano'o.

I agree somewhat, a lot of the tactical nous has left the fights but not as much as people make out, there have been several instances where several characters have shown clever strategies eg. Naruto and Kakashi vs Obito. It was always going to get to a point where the fights would end up on a massive scale as soon as the mangekyo sharingan came into play imo. They aren't as interesting but the size isn't the only reason for that.

yeah the last real entertaining fight was sasuke vs itachi or naruto vs pein (as soon as kage summit came with sasuke's spamming it went down hill)xd
