Are Byakugan eyes the weakest?

I love the byakugan though neji was my fav character i npart 1 when having a byakugan meant something! Now it's just even more pathetic because the other dojutsu are more in depth and they got a god damn air palm. It's like really?

Sadly we will probably not see anything more from byakugan, it's too late to make it more OP, there's noone to show it off.

In terms of offence they are the weakest. But they are better for tracking and and quickly finding hidden people/objects. They still can't keep up with the sharingan and the rinnegan though

1.) It appears none of you have done any kind of research. It is stated that It is part of the main 3. But unlike the others users are born with It, they naturally have it. Sharingan and Rinnegan have to be unlocked of sorts. ALL members get the Bayakugan, while say there will be someone who has a chance of not inheriting it (The Sharingan). That's maybe 4 or 5 years training with the Byakugan before the others can even unlock it.

2.) Unlike Sharingan who's damaging eye effects are permanent, the Byakugan damaging effects heal over time making It able to use for most of their life span. It's the least violent, you don't have to kill to unlock certain stages ect. This was shown in the manga when Neji couldn't tell the difference between Kiba and his dog, but later on he was fine.

3.) It has been said that the Sharingan was originally derived from the Byakugan. (this is stated in the official data book of eye techniques look it up).

4.) Ever heard of tenketsu? It allows the Byakugan user (It's advanced forms only) It can open and close the opponents chakra points, giving him/her control of his opponents chakra network. Effectively closing it, by doing this they can cut It off to certain points in the body.

5.) Hinata has shown that she can even zoom in with her's, even able to see the smallest things from far away. Kinda cool admit it.



Anyway each eye dojutsu has It's flaws and weaknesses, The fact is no one is better than the other, I'm sure there is gonna be so much more reveled later on so why don't we all just say for now they can each combat each other .

The Byakugan beats the 3 tomoe sharingan, but after that it loses. This is becaus the major OP Sharingan techs don't exist. Even if one can predict movements, it doesn't mean they dodge. Additionally, mere contact or even brushes of contact are dangerous against the Byakugan

This...though not Neji, but Hinata for me.

The thing is, Naruto has become a "who has the biggest guns" style fight....since there is no Byakugan user who is a main character, Kishi severely neglected it. Opposed to that, Sasuke as a sharingan wielding main character, received extreme development. The Rinnegan is in the hands of three characters who have stood as primary antagonists, and as such the eyes are supposed to be OP.


Back when fighting was primarily taijutsu mixed with some ninjutsu the Byakugan held worth because Taijutsu was virtually suicide, but with the other eyes getting development of gravity shields, chakra/soul stealing, and body cover forms like Susanoo....Taijutsu became pretty much useless.

Though, as -Hime- pointed out, in terms of simply unlocking it, the eyes do not require killing off people....problem is story wise people are killing each other off for power....so sadly that road block doesn't exist.

Yes, because they are the prue and aren't tainted like the others.
Compare them to Cavemen weapons vs modern technology. They can be useful but a fairly primitive to the mordern eyes.

Byakugan serves best at tracking, it also serves good at fighting, but compared to sharingan and rinnengan it falls behind. *_*
