If I said bad things about a federal criminal, no one would care, but if I said the same things about a war veteran I would be hated and ridiculed.

There are double standards in every subject or field that I can think of, but they are ignored because of a persons opinion on the victim of the insults. (Depending on whether they are deserving or not).


Seeing that sakura's character is for the most part frowned upon, having many double standards of her own, it's not surprising that people wouldn't mind insults directed at her character as opposed to insults directed at hinata, seeing that hinata has never done anything morally wrong for the entire manga.

none of these examples represent my personal ideas or ideals.

Anyway, bashing isn't a good things no matter what side your on, but common views of certain characters as compared to other are understandable.
