I'm voting Kakashi because I think with 3T, he can keep up with Gai's speed but barely. With his jutsus and clone usage, he gets the upperhand on his rival but they fight all the time and it goes both ways multiple times so really this can go either way.

Gai is a better teacher. Naruto learned close to nothing from Kakashi that helps him to this day and neither did Sakura and Sasuke just learned Chidori. All they learned from him was Will-Power but Sasuke lost that and regained it from the Edo Hokage while Naruto and Sakura always had it. Gai taught his students the "Way of the Ninja" in terms of ideology and fighting. I think he can beat Kakashi if Kamui is limited to only being able to warp attacks, not the actual person or his body parts.

In the wiki it says/said that the 8th gate is easily enough to surpass all 5 kage.
But at the cost of his life ofcourse :L

To me gai is better simply cuz he can fight longer but Kakashi now can use kamoi a good number of times 3-5
So yeah I guess Kakashi is better

On my top 25 he ranks 19
And gai ranks 20

So yeah Kakashi >gai

I think they're really at a very close level. Gai has stamina, Taijutsu, and speed (Kakashi is slightly slower) while Kakashi has Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and Strategy.

base gai can compete with kakashi, each time he unlocks a gate he's that much stronger than kakashi, and gai also has 7 gates, kakashi can't even defend himself from morning peacock or afternoon tiger, and lol @ anyone who thinks kakashi would be able to kamui gai, good luck keeping up with someone who's moving in 7 gates, kakashi's not that fast.

if Guy opens 8th Gate against Kakashi (which he will never) then he will simply kamui himself 2 other dimension.then wht Guy dies without doing anything.

omg this is so wrong, kakashi would barely be able to leave the dimension with his own reserves, furthermore he's never done this without kyuubi's chakra, so I'm gonna say this is a huge crock of shit.
