Who is Lord Jashin?

I don't know if anyone has made a thread of it or not but i was wondering that Hidan was Immortal due to his religion and devotion to Lord Jashin.
so is he a god?
plus is he stronger then Sage of 6 path?
or Hidan has got some kind of supernatural power to protect him.
wht do u think guys?

Is a religion, supposed to be a God in Hidan's believes. Still I don't really find that God so strong.

But if it is a God then it should at least be somehow strong. Since Rikudou is a "Half" God then it's unknown. But still it was said that Rikudou Sennin could do anything as well so I don't know if Jashin is stronger.

Summary : Unsure if Jashin is a God, but believes that is something that only Hidan prays to. Rikudou could do anything as well just like a God.

It supposedly is a real but not widespread or popular religion. It apparently is a misunderstood religion. yes it did appear in the anime series 'Naruto'. No that doesn't mean its fake. And i actually did find this old book in a library quite a bit ago where i used to live that was pretty much about the religion, history, beliefs, etc etc.....so i took it...shhh.

probably some kind of forbidden jutsu... they showed Hidan doing a ritual after capturing the Nibi and after attacking that monk temple, so i guess that's probably part of keeping the jutsu active...

No,That is only from naruto,Jashin is a Religion just like god and budha but then it was not really common.

Jashin means Dark God, I'm fairly certain. And Jashin is either some ancient Sage of Six Paths era shinobi or being, or just what a cult declared was the embodiment of evil.
