I doubt poisoning someone as swift as Sasuke's going to be that easy, especially with the Sharingan. You must also remember that he can locate his heart right off the bat.

Kakuzu, Sasori & Deidara vs Hebi Sasuke, Gaara & Maito Gai.

Interesting match-up. Well Hebi Sasuke was evidently the perfect-counter to Deidara which already gives a disadvantage to Team Akatsuki. However Sasori and Kakuzu are formidable opponents. Gaara will need to protect his whole team with his sand from Sasori and his Puppets. All characters will go into full-potential mode with the exception of Maito Gai (We don't know what Eighth Gates does so we will stop him at the Seventh). Sasuke will go into CS2 and prepare a Kirin while Gaara will keep his Ultimate Defence ready at all times. Kakuzu will go into Earth Grudge and his yarn thing. Sasori will go into his Human Puppet Summoning Mode I guess.

Team 2 will play smart and stick together. Sasuke will obviously protect them from C-4 in all possible ways, Gaara from Sasori's Poison and Maito Gai will engage whatever Kakuzu can throw at them. Sasuke will be preparing a Kirin right from the start. This will force all the characters into there prime. With constant rampaging, Maito Gai in Seventh Gate will defeat Kakuzu but will fall and be unable to continue fighting. Sasori will use him Human Puppets to engage Sasuke and Gaara and attempt to split the duo but with fail until Deidara goes into C3 mode.

Sasuke will engage Deidara and quickly defeat him with difficulty as the Akatsuki member cannot use C-0 due to Sasori being present. After fighting him, Gaara and Sasuke will fight Sasori and finish him and the puppets with Kirin.

True but why would he assume that he MUST hit that spot just because that is where his chakra flows ... When Sasori has his cloak on you can not even tell he is a puppet besides he really does not have much for long range .. so he would have to get close to pierce it .. and getting close to Sasori is a hard enough thing to do on its own .. not to mention Kakuzu could even supply him with a heart if needed, but if we are sticking to the one on one .. Iron sand would also prove a problem to sasuke because his lightning is rendered useless to it .

Sasuke literally has no way to protect the others from c4 besides to tell them that it is coming which does jack squat

Hmm, this is difficult to say. Gaara's sand manipulation would be murder on Sasori's puppets; Sasuke has proven to be capable of defeating Deidara at a high difficulty.

But Gai here is the weakest link. I doubt he could defeat anyone here. Sure, he could give both Kakuzu and Deidara hard fights but. . . Yeah.

I'd say the team with the best chemistry and the most flexibility will take this. The Akatsuki is initially at a disadvantage, but if they can cover each others asses and early on pick out who is the best match up for who; They can win this.

It would realistically take way to long to judge each side and what they can do, then what the other side can do to counter it. . It's a complicated match up so it's best to leave that to a different person; One who knows these characters better.

But, from looking at this match up off the bat with full intel? Team Two is more likely to win this.

ik .. and not necessarily .. Sasuke having to dodge Pressure damage along with sasori's iron sand ....especially seeing as Wind>Lightning which is 90% of sasuke's arsenal

Deidara has already triumphed against Gaara, although I dislike the fact that Gaara is the inferior between the two in this scenario. I know my restrictions, and Deidara takes this.

Kakuzu defeats Hebi Sasuke due to Sasuke's Raiton being canceled by Kakuzu's Atsugai, and Sasuke's Katon being overpowered by a Atsugai + Zukokku combination. Sasuke is then left with basic summoning in which can be canceled by an elemental barrage and/or Jiongu penetration. I don't see how Sasuke defeats Kakuzu within this match-up.

Sasori defeats Gai quite easy, seeing as Taijutsu based techniques don't work on Sasori (remember he can reassemble himself, just as he did when Sakura hit him within Scorpion). Taijutsu against Sasori is also rather inferior due to every technique in which Sasori possesses is coated with Poison in which Gai would submit to early within the fight. Speed means nothing when Gai has to physically (close range) overcome Sasori. And this isn't even Sasori using Iron Sand.

Sasuke has the speed to do it, and the tanking abilities granted to him by CM2.

His katons are slow and easy to avoid for something that can fly, He is not tanking Iron sand .. and if he does the poison kills him The Pressure damage would be enough to get him to either loose his footing and balance , or take his focus off of sasori .. which he can then utilize that to finish him with iron sand ..It would be easier if he were to simply form a small object and prick or slightly impale sasuke with it .. however it is in character for him to create large objects .. either way it would still hit Sasuke

I didn't mention Katon as a basis to eliminate the mask, I mentioned it as a basis to trump Kakuzu's Fuuton (as Katon > Fuuton), as you're suggesting it can back Sasori up. Alright then, lets even the odds. Sasuke summons Manda to deal with the Fuuton mask, who's attacks will barely hurt Manda seeing as he was able to remain conscious and even speak moments after experiencing the catastrophic C4 [

]. If you're going to suggest Sasori can hit Sasuke with Iron sand while this is happening, he's leaving himself open to one of Sasuke's overwhelming Shunshin's [

]. And since I've given both teams full knowledge, as well as Sasuke being able to pinpoint his heart, Sasuke can quite simply impale Sasori's core with a Chidori infused thrust.
