You used power scaling as part of your reasoning, no. It hasn't. The manga has been on a steady decline ever since the war began and Edo's were trolled. Obito as Tobi annoyed MANY people. Obito doesn't act like Tobi anymore. He's basically a new character to us.

Madara is an annoying shit who refuses to do a thing, so there's that.

And Naruto, Naruto is Naruto.

The redeeming factor is the chance of a plot twist and Taka turning on the alliance and Akatsuki. That's it, not Obito.
