tuskimiu ,black zetsu(who is madra as itachi's fanboys say) confirmed that and itachi fell down after sasuke countered it ,that wasn't act
itachi himslef said that uchiha with normal sharingan can counter his tuskimiu

amatrasu,sasuke escaped it with oro's kuarimi,itachi himself said it is a good jutsu to escape amatrasu

Itachi couldn't just go easy on him, Sasuke would have seen something was up. That's why Itachi came at him with at least some part of him meaning to kill him, otherwise Sasuke would have seen that it wasn't just his illness.

It's why his Amaterasu hits him, he had to push him.

Itachi forced Sasuke to become strong, to overcome the genjutsu and his attacks with what he had, a 3 tomoe Sharingan and all his hatred.

Why must this topic be up for debate, both sides speak truth, Sasuke broke the genjutsu and beat Itachi, but only because Itachi was giving it his all and giving him the reason to beat him.
