Because Minato could do the same thing, like he did with Naruto when he passed both Kushina's chakra and his own chakra to Naruto as an infant. Naruto can do that on a much larger scale than his father.

But chakra type is one thing, chakra nature transformation is another and is done by user.

U dont get to be skilled with katon by just having it takes time and training.
Look at sasuke, he already had katon for years but that chakra paper responded to lightning. Sasuke's skill with raiton surpassed katon very fast. I think one is predisposed to one chakra transformation more then another on genetic level. Its like KKG that allows u to mold 2 elements together.

Matching each individuals unique traits is too vague, it can mean many things. Remember how naruto was being damaged by kurama's chakra b4 in T4 or when he fought sasuke and couldn't feel his arm? Now that he achieved proper resonance it no longer happens. I think this is the meaning behind it.

Im pretty sure the kyuubi was talking about being able to transfer chakra effectively by being "compatible" with others. It has nothing to do with chakra molding or nature affinities...

could be possible, but would require a LARGE AMOUNT of training. Naruto could do it for sure within 5 years, but minato may take 10 or more.

(as learning your elemental affinity is much easier than learning one you dont have an affinity with.

I beleive that in time with training he may be able to mold his chakra into different elemental natures since they are not bound by blood. I don't believe that he will be able to copy any kekkai genkai though.

Well isn't it possible for naruto to create four different clones and have those clones learn how to manipulate the chakra to match the four other elements. Once they have mastered it, he would be able to release the jitsu and then he would know all five. I think the only problem would be the amount of training like cptenn94 stated and he probably would need a shinobi of each element that he would be trying to master there to help him out.
