The pacing was quiet but hurried, as a cloaked figure traveled the dark forests of the Grass Country. Maneuvering giant mushrooms, the cloaked figured attracted strange and beastly creatures. With a cold bark, one of the animals approached, yet the cloaked figure did not stop. Instead, the creature fell down on the ground, unconscious.

Bending around a giant toadstool, the figure halted the pace. Looking up from the cloak, she saw the one she was to meet. When she brought down her cloak, the smell of dandelions swarmed the area, soothing, but also a powerful soporific, which she muted right away. Yet it was not the perfume or even the cloak that brought the attention of the person, it was her bright crimson hair. She was Isabella Uchiha.

I trust my ex-village will miss their Mizukage dearly. Or are they unaware of your absence??

The forest in the Land of Grass was just like a forest anywhere else in the world, to the trained eye. To the blind eye, a forest was a forest. To the observant eye, each was different...

But to the awakened eye, they were all the same: beacons of life.

Keotsu leaned quietly against a large tree, Mythos resting lightly against his hip. Traveling here had been fairly uneventful, as he had hoped it would be. He had been attacked by some wild dogs at one point, but quickly subdued them with his scabbard. He had not been bothered since by the animals of the forest. The predators did not wish to mingle with a power greater than theirs. And the smaller animals sensed that Keotsu meant them no harm.

Gods...was he really doing this again? He had since been unable to preform the technique for years, and yet he had shown it to another man. And now, he was about to teach it to one of the most infamous Kunoichi of all time. Why was he not content to let this power be lost to the dustiest tomes of history? Nearly everyone else in the world had already forgotten its existence. Everyone...but Keotsu himself.

Perhaps...perhaps a part of Keotsu resigned itself, and determined that the Shinobi world was beyond saving. That the only hope for them all was a swift death. Perhaps he felt like demonstrating only a fragment of his powers through others, to show these people who fancied themselves gods...that they were not.

The scent of dandelions....

"I trust my ex-village will miss their Mizukage dearly. Or are they unaware of your absence??"

"...they're used to me taking extended periods of leave, since I am so unlike the rest of them. I doubt they care that I'm gone, not that any of them would have tried to stop me if they did...I'm not so naive as to think that I am anything more than a figurehead to them. You should know more than anyone else how oddly a village like Kirigakure must feel about a person like myself," said Keotsu, somewhat somberly under his breath.

The scroll weighed heavy in his hand...

Isabella placed her hands underneath her hair, pulling it from the traps of the cloak, and letting it fall freely about her back, Her hair was perfumed, and her lips were sensually red, yet even then, she was more frightening than alluring. She was able to shift between both, so much so, that her true nature was all but gone. It matter little in this world, what she was was not useful, and what she is is. So, what does she need to be before the man?

A light amidst the mist. A pacifist in a world of demons. You may think you don't fit, but there's no denying your usefulness.

She moved closer still, studying the man. Even without the sharingan, she had always been good at reading people. There's another useful ability to have. As the man moved, her attention was brought to his hand. A scroll. The man tensed unconsciously ever so slightly at gaze. Sounds important... and wrong.

Is that it?

As Isabella pulled back her hood, Keotsu did so as well, out of courtesy. He almost laughed; his hair was longer than hers, it seemed, as his own brown hair cascaded down his back as he freed it from his cloak. He understood why she was respected.

For one, she was an Uchiha. While Keotsu himself had survived fights with the fabled clan, it didn't mean they were any less threatening. Skilled as he was, their eyes let them track his movements. In fights with an Uchiha, it required him to be that much better of a fighter. And, even amongst the Uchiha, Isabella's name was whispered in reverence.

Beyond that, she certainly was a stunning woman, though, he did not doubt for an instant that this was exaggerated by meticulous detail on her part to take care of her looks to throw her opponent's off guard. It was a simple tactic, and usually an effective one.

But, Keotsu neither feared the woman or desired her. She was attractive yes, but Keotsu was man of self-control when it came to women. And, as far as fear...the only thing Keotsu feared was Death itself, and even then, he had enough courage to face that.

"I am nothing more than a weapon to Kirigakure. The world knows not what I am capable of, save that I am a swordsmen. But, my name is spoken of in reverence in certain circles...and that is enough for Kirigakure....

But, yes. This is one of my masterpieces. My...Symphony. Now...I have to ask you a few things...

Am I really so easy to track down? And if so...why have I not been assassinated yet; surely there are those who wish me dead?

And most importantly...how is it that you know of this technique?"

Isabella let out an honest laugh. There was something about the indifferent tone of his that sound so very innocent.

We're all a weapon to someone, at one point or another.

She gets closer, looking him straight in the eye. It was through the eyes of her opponents that she truly knew how to read them, even if so little dared to look back.

And there is a lot of power in the whispered word.

Her eyes are cold and dark, yet an hidden flame burns bright within, cold, dark but alive.

No. You're not an easy man to track. And you're an even more difficult man to persuade. My eyes have been on ever since one event.

With a mockingly amused smile, Isabella dismissively checks her nails. The hands that created the plans. The hands that did the deeds.

I've I've been the Head Tactician for Kirigakure ever since before the First Ninja War, which was started by my hand, and finished by my hand. I molded and rose the Mist to it's infamous glory, and pushed it through the Second Ninja War, started by my hand and finished by my hand. In that particular War, Kirigakure brought 4 villages to their knees, yet it
was a single event that stuck to my head. Oh it was nothing much, no even a small hindrance.

I look back at you with a mocking tone, yet the mirrors of myself tell a different tale. They speak with admiration and respect.

But one Suna shinnobi single handedly brought an entire division of the Mist to a halt, as if they were no more than flies.

I study your reaction closely, before I continue. Yet, dropping the mask, I assume the same sentiment that my eyes were portraying all this time.

I came not for your scroll. And I brought you to Suna not because of your fame. I value usefulness, yes. Yet there is one thing I respect above all. It's Intelligence. And I respect you, Keotsu.

Keotsu closed his eyes, sighing deeply, before opening his eyes and locking Isabella's gaze, unfazed. Looking into the eyes of an Uchiha was a foolish thing to do in this day and age, but was not something Keotsu himself feared to do. Call it courage or stupidity, but it was what it was.

"So...You remember that incident. That is not one of my prouder moments. How the world forgets an event like that, I'm not sure. But, few remember the lone Shinobi who single-handedly defended Sunagakure. Fewer still, how he did it. And even fewer still, who that man was. A thing I am, admittedly, grateful for."

Keotsu then tossed the scroll at Isabella.

"Isabella-san. I have since lost the ability to use that technique, but within that scroll lies the mechanics to it; it's strengths. It's weaknesses. At a point later, I wish for you to read the scroll, but you will have approximately half-an-hour to do so, before the writing inside disappears forever. Before then, though, I shall now explain to you the activation mechanics. Are you ready to learn the Symphony I wrote?"

A gentle breeze blew through the foliage, bathing the area in a coolness. "I should visit my homeland, soon," thought Keotsu to himself.

Isabella receives the sealed scrolled. Her eyes study the man before here.

To read at a later time, is that what you wish? Because I can read the scroll and memorize it in a fraction of a second.

A reflection of crimson red flashes on my iris, as my Sharingan activates and deactivates in a quick succession.

This time, Keotsu laughed out loud.

"Isabella. You were just commending me on my intelligence. You don't think I would considered the fact that Uchiha might come into possession of that scroll? You underestimate just how much I don't want this technique out in the world. That scroll is made of paper by trees who were heavily injected with chakra as they grew; the ink itself is infused with chakra so that the entirety of the scroll's contents vanish and become irretrievable after half an hour. To a Sharingan, that entire scroll will look like nothing more than a solid plate of chakra; unreadable. And there is simply too much information for anyone to read and scribe at the same time and walk away with it all before the information vanishes. I made sure of that. That scroll withholds information on how the technique is useful...as in...how to stop the technique. How to prevent it from affecting you. Et cetera. However, it does not describe how to USE the technique. Only I know how to do that. And I give you that information verbally.

So, Isabella, I ask again. Are you ready to learn my Symphony? I trust you brought an instrument with you?"

Isabella raises her eyebrow, looking at the man, and then the scroll, and then the man again.

Well, I can't argue with that, can I?

I put the scroll on a pouch behind my back.

Where should we begin?

Anyway, to preform this technique, you'll begin by infusing an instrument with your chakra, so that when you create sound waves with it they will be imbued with your energy. Like any Genjutsu, when your chakra - which does so at the speed of sound - enters your opponent's system, they become trapped int the effects of the technique. Despite it's sheer ferocity, this technique doesn't require a lot in the ways of execution, as it's not that far off from regular Genjutsu, except for it's affects, which scramble the body's abilities to interact with things."

*Creates a clone, and then uses the First Prayer and Gokumonken.*

"Alright, it should be simple enough. Give it a shot. Within that scroll the finer mechanics - exactly how it works, weaknesses, etcetera, - are explained...but, for now, you don't need to understand the finer mechanics to replicate the effects."

(Genjutsu: Migoto Koukyoukyoku: Seimei) Illusion Technique: Beautiful Symphony: Life
Rank: S
Chakra: 80
Damage: N/A
Range: Short-Long.
Description: The user activates this sound based Genjutsu by tapping any two objects together in a rhythm. (This can be hands, kunai, or an instrument, in which case, only one is needed.) As soon as the first beat is heard, the person is captured in the Genjutsu. The person, or persons, caught in the Genjutsu lose the ability to channel chakra and their movement is reduced to the coordination of a severely drunk person. The user of this jutsu is unable to attack, because this jutsu must stay activated by the caster, so if the user attempts to attack, the Genjutsu is broken, and the enemy(s) caught in the Genjutsu immediately regain all their abilities. (20 chakra per turn to sustain this jutsu.) Because this jutsu interferes with the enemy's ability to control chakra, this justu cannot be dispelled by a Kai used by the person caught in its effect. The user cannot move during this jutsu.Only usable one time per battle. The Genjutsu only last one turn before the additional 20 chakra must be paid.

So anything could be used? Like, say, two kunai?

I retrieve two kunai from my pouch, and cling it together, producing sound waves.

What happens if I stop producing sound waves? Does the genjutsu end?

I stop the rhythmic clatter.

"Indeed. The technique is not created to hinder you, by making you carry large instruments around. Fundamentally, what is the difference between your kunai, your hands clapping, or a drum? Nothing, for they are all percussion instruments, in a way. This technique is less about the instrument itself, and more about the rhythmic sound waves. I only recommend instruments because one, it does add flair, and two, because it tremendously increases the range of the technique. I believe you remember my bell tower.

And yes, the Genjutsu itself is only in effect so long as the sound waves are received by the opponent. So, if you stop playing, the Genjutsu ends."

"Other instruments can be used, but percussion instruments are the easiest to improvise. As I said, the technique focus more on the rhythm and beat, rather then from where that sound originates."

I see.

I start clapping my hands together, casting the genjutsu.

Could I maintain this indefinitely, as long as I keep paying 20 chakra per turn? Does the genjutsu loose any strength?

"Indeed you can; so long as you continue to feed chakra into the jutsu, it will not end until you will it, until you cease playing, or until you run out of chakra. And the potency of the technique does not lessen."

How selective is it? Say I make a clone, will she get affected? Or, if she's the one using it, will I get affected? And what about animals or allies?

"There in lies one of this technique's drawbacks. As far as allies or enemy, this technique is indiscriminate. They will all fall under this technique's influence. However, if you make it, your clone won't be affected, and vice versa, but this is simply because of how Genjutsu works: foreign chakra causes discrepancies in your system to force you into illusions. However, since the clone has a chakra wavelength perfectly matching yours, it does not cause a disharmonious reaction with your chakra, meaning you will not catch yourself in it. Human, beasts, this technique doesn't care. If it has chakra, and it's not you, it's caught in the technique."

Well that I am not sure. It messes with the idea of Self-Genjutsu. It might be something worth testing. But I am without question now
