This is why I don't watch filler sometimes they can come up with good ideas for an episode like they did in this episode but when it comes to jutsu's storyline's and events in the episode most of it is BS.

In-universe explanation: Torune wanted Shino to win and resisted Kabuto's control somewhat.

Shino's insects are immune (and so stronger) to Torune's venomous insects, so he attacked Torune with his insects and sealed him. As the tag hit Torune, he was immediately paralyzed and returned to the afterlife. Hope I helped.

His bugs immobilized him by sucking out his chakra... It's filler you can't expect them to actually think of a way for Shino to beat him

Because Torune was always relying on the fact that he couldn't be touched, the moment Shino created anti bodies he knew it was game over, there was no escape to such a quantity of bugs. Torune's overpowered ability lead to his downfall by counting on it to much.

And stop with the *****ing on fillers.

Years early He took some of Torune bugs from the dead bird and slowly expose them to the poison, they develop immunity and created an antidote to the poison as He explain.
