For me its just the concept. Been using a console as my main system to play video games as a kid, so that's what I'm most comfortable with.

PC = best performance and more features.
Console = more friends to play with, decent performance.
It comes down to the situation of the gamer. I prefer PC imo (but I have both).

HD PC gaming makes HD XBOX 360/PS3 gaming look like N64. They are most certainly not the same thing.

Can't really measure the number of PC gamers. A lot could be playing offline y'know. The community itself is very alive though.

Having a gaming pc is the best thing apparently. They are years ahead of consoles in terms of hardware and almost all games they come from sony and microsoft or w.e are available to pc. Pc also has more mmo's. My personal preference has always been a console. There's just something about just having a console, duel shock controller and talking to friends on the mic and all your friends have it ...just feels better. It's indescribable really.
Plus I'm not really a super techy dude so I wouldn't know the 1st step into making a gaming pc to decrease laggyness online and what not. I'm also not a fan of using a keyboard and mouse pad to play games.

Like others have said, it all comes down to the gamer.
I have a PS3, a 360 and a PC.
Whenever possible, I use..
My Xbox 360 for Multiplayer games - I find the multiplayer smoother, More enjoyable + I have more friends that own one.
My PC for Single player games - The graphics, and overall experience of PC is much better.
My PS3 for Single Players (when not available on PC), and for its exclusives - I wayyy prefer the PS3 Exclusives over PC and 360.
So it all depends one what I feel like playing.
