Jason Kidd will be the new coach of the Nets for a minimum of three seasons.

This sure is a surprising turn of events but I look forward to seeing this through, as Kidd was known to be a coach even as a player.

Though I believe there are alot more better candidates for the role but you know.....NBA drama.

Wow, a former NY Knicks player coaching the Brooklyn Nets? Can't wait to see how that will work out.

Eh shouldn't stir up anything he was a former former Nets player too, and was the face of the franchise for a while.

Nets look really desperate with this move.

Not really. Although they were (allegedly) turned down by Phil Jackson, they had open options. Brian Shaw, Tom Thibodeau, Byron Scott, Vinny (lol), etc. They just thought Kidd was the best fit.

Not a very prudent decision, IMO, but it'll be interesting to see how it pans out. A better fit for him in my opinion would have been initially being an assistant coach or something. The head coaching responsibility is heftier than some might think.
