Tobirama is saying he never saw a similar Kagutsuchi as Sasuke's before, but since he knows the name and is even capable to compare it to another, does it mean that Tobirama already saw kagutsuchi? So a Uchiha was capable to use it during his era? Who? Madara? Izuna? Other?

i think it's a mistranslation, tobirama probably was saying that he's never seen such a combination attack.


also, kagutsuchi isn't blaze release exactly, it's shape manipulation of flames. so in effect tobirama is saying the reverse, he's implying that he's never seen someone do that type of shape manipulation. ie there may have been more amaterasu users, but not enton users.

It wouldn't make sense for Izuna to have Enton as he didn't have Sussano
If DB statements are true, then it had to be Madara, but then again, the DB is outdated

I think Kagutsuchi is the ability to manipulate flames, and doesn't necessarily need amaterasu.

After giving it a thought, i think it was Izuna because if it was madara, the Kagutsuchi would have been more powerful. From what we have seen so far, all madara's jutsus are on an entirely different level than any shinobi with Hashirama being the only exception.

I read it on manga stream, I reckon Madara is an enton user, we have yet to see him use it but with that so far we still can not rule it out.
