why was it that nagato could not use the sharingan techniques then ? please read carefully, having the rinnegan doesn't give you sharingan abilities. It is madara only because he awakened his rinnegan from his EMS short before he died as he stated. So your point is completely out of the picture on this part.

back on topic. MS is the most dangerous eyes you can have, using the techniques causes pain, the after effect causes pain and you can go fast blind by over-using it. Oh and even your eyes start to bleed by using it. Rinnegan ? no way, just 1 technique which costs you your life: and this is the proof stated by obito himself, so not just shortening life span duration it does costs the user's life to use this technique:

i agree that MS is dangerous until you acquire EMS ... and explain why madara gave his rinnegan to nagato ...he could have given it to someone else ...why did he precisely choose uzumaki? ..its because uzumaki clan possess huge life force ... people other than uzumaki or senju cannot fully master it ...it drains lot of life force

Madara surely has seen or sensed nagato's life force/chakra and knew he would be suited for the rinnegan and the reason he is an uzumaki makes it a ++. Nagato was already pysically weak, and when he used chibaku tensei konan said he would shorten his life span with it. Now comes the real deal: If that attack shortens his life span, and rinne tensei no jutsu to revive almost the entire village surely doesn't cost free. As my previous post's link where obito stated it does costs the user's life, then i get the feeling that a full healthy nagato would even die by using this technique. Or if he's Lucky survive it but at the cost of life span shortening.

yep ...thats true ....evry technq uses life force ...n according to wiki rinnegan is said to use very little chakra ...lik for shinra tensei n bansho tenin ... bt to use these on massive still it needs life force ...remember how tendo couldn't get his power back for a short period after he used shinra tensei to destroy the village
