[Discussion] Why do people compare Madara and Hashirama etc to the Sage?

Frankly their power differences are insane.

The sage created the moon using chibaku tensei. If we assume that the size of the chibaku tensei relates to the power of the user. Then Nagato who admittedly was weaker through Pain, created a chibaku tensei which was probably 2km in diameter. This means it has a volume of 33.5km3. Now the relative density of rock to water is about 3:1. and 1km3 of water has a mass of 1x10^9 tons. So we will say that the whole rock pain formed has a mass of around 3 x 33.5 x 1x10^9 tons which is 1.005 x 10^11 tons.

The moon has a mass of approximately 7.35 x 10^22 tons.

Divide mass of the moon by the mass of pains chibaku tensei and it means that the sage is 731,343,283,582 times stronger than Tendo pain.

Can you imagine? That is 731 billion times stronger. I know Tendo pain wouldn't stand a chance against Hashirama and Madara but it just showed that if the story about the sage is true(which I don't think it is) then no one is even remotely close to his power, seriously, I'm closer to Hashirama than he is to the sage. The sage realistically is on DBZ power levels.

I know it's just a manga and you aren't supposed to take it literally, its just that I'd like people to understand what it means to create the moon before they start suggesting Naruto will surpass the sage. Hopefully Kishi will make it so that the story is slightly untrue because it just doesn't make sense to me.

Unless we see more of the sage, its hard to compare him to them, aside from the fact its a safe assumption he was one strong cookie

No it didn't he made the moon, to seal the ten tails empty vessel, this means the 10 tails chakra was already split into the 9 tailed beasts and not within himself any more.

Or I really just don't give a **** about the mass of a rock in a manga. The manga isn't based on science and math, if it was then cool no complaints, but its based on ninjas. So like I said, very bored.

First of all, the Naruto world is significantly smaller than our planet, Earth. Why do you assume our moon is the same size as that in Naruto? You have no grounds for that. You also don't know the distance it is from the Naruto earth.

So frankly your "evidence" is completely pointless, cause without this sort of knowledge, there is no way to compare them.

Besides, we don't know if the SO6P created the Moon while he was still the jinchuriki of the Juubi. He could have placed some kind of "scroll" so when he divided the Juubi to the bijuu's and sealed its shell on the moon, he just used a scroll he placed on the moon long ago to summon the shell to the moon.

Lol apart from using far too much logic on this one, you must understand that the sage was also the jinjuriki of 10 tails which is considered a god. His chakra levels are insane even for the strongest people.
