How many times did Kabuto kill Itachi?

Ok so in the fight between Kabuto and Itachi (& Useless Sasuke) We all know that Kabuto killed Itachi many times over but how many times exactly did he kill Itachi before he got trapped in Izanami? From that fight it was clear that Kabuto was far more powerful than the Uchiha but Izanami is just a god mode hack that could have worked on anyone.

Also how was Kabuto ever supposed to win seeing as Itachi was invincible as he couldn't die?

They couldn't kill him because of Edo Tensei. That is the only reason he could put up a fight against them

smh i already made a thread explaining why itachi can take dsm kabuto with high diff. Please do remember all those times kabuto killed itachi, you also neglect the fact that itachi got hit sometimes from saving sasuke.[

Also remember the fact that itachi needed recordings of himself getting hit to activate izanami so itachi getting hit intentionally isnt out of the question since he needed physical contact to activate izanami.[

I think Kabuto killed Itachi 2 times.
1st time in the beginning of the battle then 2nd time when Itachi was recording the time span to catch Kabuto in Izanami and third time, Kabuto killed Itachi in izanami.

So IMO Kabuto killed Itachi 2 times but everytime Itachi got resurrected because of Edo Tensei.

Here neither Itachi nor Kabuto wanted to kill each other. Kabuto was trying to manipulate Sasuke and to regain control of Itachi while Itachi was trying to get hold of him to know about the releasing hand signs of edo tensei.
Also Sasuke saved sometimes Itachi & Itachi saved Sasuke sometimes while Kabuto was alone. It was 2 vs 1.

They didnt try to kill him, they wanted to capture him. It's a reason why Itachi didn't use his full susanoo, and Sasuke didn't use his EMS susanoo.

But I believe SM Kabuto > Itachi.

Thank you, finally, someone with some sense.obviously itachi knew he wouldn't die if he got hit so he took a few hits. Who wouldn't take advantage of an edo body? Kabuto is skilled but he uses borrowed abilities. In the end…he failed

First of all, you don't even understand Izanami. It doesn't work on anybody, it only works on people who can't accept their fate or who they are. That was the first thing you were wrong about.

Secondly, Itachi MEANT to be hit, since he could't die, so that he could set up Izanami. That entire time he was just preparing Izanami. Otherwise, he would have pulled out Yata Mirror and full Susano'o and cleaned up.
