Only character looking "blank" without pupils is Hinata; Neji, Gaara and Ino does not bother me because they have personailities and spines; Hinata does not have an actual backing personality; she would look empty and blank as her usual self even with the pupils.

Well some artists draw pupils to be really small, so maybe they're there but we can't see them until they use Byakugan.
