Okay so, I've been thinking. Sections like the Writer's corner don't get many views. It's hard to get someone to read our FF's, and even the Art section seems quite lacking. I think those sections would benefit from being brought up closer to the head banner of the forum, say beneath the Naruto Media Section. It would increase the amount of occasional readers, as it is closer to the sections they usually scroll down to see, and could even inspire more people to contribute to those sections. I think brining them up would be a really good way of supporting authors and artists of NB, and just generally a more encouraging and creative NB.

Sections, like, for example, the RPG, have a very big and core fanbase, so moving them down the list wouldn't hinder the participants, as a big bulk of the users already know of the RP, and it's even in the quick links.

Either way, is more of a gimmick to help a very overlooked area :)

This was suggested before, to which the staff (admin I believe) gave an answer. I can't remember the explanation, but the answer was a no.

I 100% support this. The writing section also needs to show what thread was posted in/posted last. Every other section has that. Not having that feature hinders it even more.

I didn't know there were other threads. But from the answer Zise gave, I think it is actually one of the reasons why I think they should go up. It's not by being thrown to the bottom that a very prosperous and intricate part of the site, aka, the RPG, will die out, but if you put an already dying part of the forum on the bottom, it will just speed up it's death.

I see no reason for taking the Suggestion Section and the Naruto Media on the top, because Naruto is the focus, and it's discussion should be encouraged. And the sections I mentioned are a great way to support the Naruto discussion community, by adding arts and new stories. There's even a guy that posts his failed predictions there xD
It's a good addition to the forum, and will really improve the traffic of that area.

From Zise's post, it seems they can monitor the traffic, which gives them a better viewpoint. -S- and a few others believed the sections' activity was dying, and Zise said it was the same. I write and draw, so I'm all for whatever brings more attention to the sections in question. Sadly, it's difficult to argue against those who have such a broad view of the sections' activity. I would think that personal observance, although limited, would still be somewhat accurate. It seems that was proven wrong though.

Yes there were other threads made, but to be fair, those were 7-8 months ago, the activity could have changed drastically since Zise's post, who knows. His response didn't seem to be set in stone either, he actually seemed open to change if it's reasonable.

I hope they view and consider this suggestion.

Well, if the change was fairly recent, it was quite understandable that the traffic didn't change. The core fans would still go there, but there would be a fairly big loss in new members. But now that so much time as passed, maybe the change is more relevant

I agree.

I was quite sure you weren't aware of Zise's previous decision, so just thought I'd share that bit of information so that there are no surprises.

You can't say it's a good idea and then say it's pointless.

I completely support the idea, even though it's been rejected a couple of times :|
I didn't say it was a good idea :p It's an average suggestion. I mean, sure, it would be nice to move all the sections and set them out of order, but in the end will that really help? Most people on Narutobase just ignore the forums and go to Today's Topics, that's why the Chatterbox and VS Section are not as famous.

Trolls would abuse it so it would sorta be a waste of time and strain the servers. Plus if you like a particular section, I don't see the harm in scrolling for a few seconds to the bottom. xD

Ah, alrighty then. xD

Leaving as much of my personal opinion out of this as I can, whether there's any significance to the order of the sections can be deduced from Zise's post alone. He said the sections that are higher up are more important, thus point blank establishing a significance to how high up a section is. If they're important, and thus higher up on the forums, then there's a benefit from them being higher up; despite the claim that most people just go to today's topics.

And there are people that believe the activity, views, and such of the FF and Art section have died.

Having said that, it seems only the admins (maybe mods/gmods?) truly know how much the sections in question have been affected due to being placed at the bottom.

I'm not really sure where you're going with the trolling thing.
