Notice that he not only disconnected his arm, but he sent his heart with it. Also notice that it traveled through the ground like it was passing through water.

He also has other tricks, like how he can see through his masked ghosts, giving him shared vision like Pein.

Sadly, Kakuzu couldn't show his full potential because the arc was rushed. We never even got to see his Suiton heart, or his other elemental combinations.

Katon + Suiton = boiling hot steam.
Fuuton + Suiton = a blinding mist/tsunami.
Raiton + Suiton = an electrified field.
Fuuton + Raiton = ultimate piercing attack.

Also imagine how powerful a single blast using all 5 of his elements combined would had been... epic!

The thing with Kakuzu is this.. He hasn't shown his full potential, but with the things he has shown there are many exploits in which can be put together. Eg; Immunity to Genjutsu, Near infinite Raiton: Gians etc.

Kakuzu's potential is un-measurable he easily is somewhere in the Top 10 in my opinion.

Plot, nothing more, and nothing less. They had to show Naruto's new technique. No way a 91 yr old shinobi who had fought Hashirama would fall prey to such a strategy.

You can't blame plot for something when anything that exists in the manga is plot including kakazu and any powers he has

Incorrect. We know how Kakuzu's body structure relates to that of Sasori's (Sasori = Puppet, Kakuzu = Rag Doll; No brain is needed). This has nothing to do with Chakra disruption, but the fact that Kakuzu lacks a brain in order for Genjutsu to ultimately be of use on him.

As Genjutsu attacks the user on a mental state, the heart has nothing to do with the mental statement, but the physical. Also Genjutsu means "Illusionary Technique" how does the heart become affected by a mental assault? That's right, it doesn't. Similar to how Sasori's core works.[/FONT]

Then how does the heart control the movements of the body? There can only be 2 points that can be made. You contradict yourself. If the heart can't become affected by chakra manipulation, how does it enable the person to see stuff? :

Okay man listen. You recognize how Sasori works correct? His core, is his heart basically, Kakuzu works in the same way, but with a real heart instead of a core. How exactly did Sasori use the core to control movement? I really don't know, but it was done (possibly by chakra control as chakra is the answer to everything in Naruto).

What you're saying is this: "the heart acts as the brain". This is incorrect because, Sasori's core doesn't act as the brain, it merely acts as a way to execute his chakra (due to the core being his only living part in his puppet body). Sasori doesn't have a brain, neither does Kakuzu.

Genjutsu doesn't work by affecting the heart, it doesn't even trigger signs of attacking the heart. What Genjutsu stands for is illusionary technique, and how do we perceive illusions? With our minds, if Kakuzu lacks a mind how can be caught within Genjutsu? He cannot.

Kakuzu's body is that such as a Rag Doll, do Rag Doll's possess brains? I think not. Similar to Sasori he's a puppet do puppets possess brains? I think not.

It's not only a matter of Kakuzu anticipating it, there are other reasons why it shouldn't have worked on him:

1. Aside from being a 91 year old shinobi that has probably seen thousands of bunshin feints...
2. He forgot that Shadow Clones can use jutsus too.
3. He didn't hear the Rasenshuriken's loud screeching coming from behind him.

Honestly, it would had made more sense if Kishimoto incorporated Kakuzu's temper into the battle. We were explicitly told that he sometimes goes berserk in battle which has claimed the lives of his past partners that got in the way. If he lost his cool due to the odds being against him then it would had made more sense why he was having lapses in judgment, yet he remained calm and rational to the end.

I think when people create a story with characters that have abilities, they need to be more aware of all the possibilities those abilities would grant their characters instead of just focusing on what it was intended it for.

I think the best explanation of what I am trying to say is take example of Sasori's use of the 3rd Kazekage's iron sand jutsu. He ended up forming them into simple shapes, such as a pyramid and cube. The fact that simple shapes, as I mentioned, were used is incredibly lame, because anyone could think of more useful shapes than those to be used in battle.

As you have explained in your wonderful thread, Kakuzu most likely didn't even get started in showing off what he was capable of. There was almost nothing holding him back from learning a wide variety of elemental jutsus, except plot.

Not to mention that they couldn't kill him in direct combat so they had to use dirty tricks (Sneaking up while he is busy with 3 other Shinobi, tricking Hidan into stabbing himself and killing Kakuzu, and lastly plot.)

Not only did Kakuzu not have his Domu, but he could have killed Naruto with Zukkoku or Atsugai.. Kakuzu underestimated Naruto because he was a beaten up brat to him. And Naruto got caught by Kakuzu's tendrils, but Kakashi and Yamato saved him.

Kakazu is a beast for sure but Everyone who fought kakazu was a fodder excluding kakashi. [kakashi didn't even use his MS]

Naruto comes and Solo's a weakened kakazu at the end in base form.

It's because of the plot. We have a hero that has a new technique and a villain that couldn't be defeated by the hero's friends.. You do the math..
