I said this a lot of time:

There are loads of epic scenes in anime. Be it great entries, great speeches, great death scene, great battles, great powerups, great climax of fights and so on...

All these things, if done right, can really be awe-inspiring and outstanding. Even, I got a great lists of those that are truly epic. Yet, when I'm asked the most Epic Moment in Anime, well, I'll say this:

Reason: It's because it is such a simple moment but the fact that it remains epic in all angles, is for me, beyond this world. The music, the drama, the dialogues, the slow-motion, the incensed crisp and of course, Mamoru's epic voice... makes 'Eating a potato chip' as epic - no, more epic - than most things a shounen hero/villain did in a whole series. The fact that this scene is pure gold, out of nothing, makes it the Most Epic Moment in Anime imo - and I'm not trolling.
