Maybe he did for the Uchiha he had to actually fight? We can assume he didnt just straight up assassinate EVERY Uchiha. Some of them would fight back, we can assume he had quite a fight on his hands. Even with Obito's help he would more than likely have to go all out so it would be very possible he used totsuka on at least a few of them in the event he had it back then. However I think its much more likely that he obtained Totsuka and Yata after the Uchiha massacre. Would be cool to see the entire massacre and maybe see his susanoo without his spiritual weapons lol

...Uhh? You are overrating Totsuka. It's a giant sword. Getting killed or getting sealed, it's pretty much the same difference in the end; you're gone.

We just don't know if getting sealed by Totsuka is reversible, if it is then the clan wouldn't be gone forever.

P.S. Itachi ambushed them and had help from Obito.

Totsuka doesn't come with Susanoo though, it's one of the swords of Kusanagi.

What do you mean equipped from what? He found them and put them on his Susanoo. If they came with Susanoo, why was Orochimaru looking for them? And why are they in a set of 3 legendary weapons?

Madara's sword was never hyped or stated to be legendary.

If they come with his Susanoo then Orochimaru wouldn't had been looking all his life for them, and mind you that Itachi is 33 years younger than Orochimaru.

As I said too, Totsuka is A sword of Kusanagi, just like Orochimaru's sword and Sasuke's sword. Those don't come with Susanoos.

A weapon that is physically manifested sure cant be found anywhere. If oro failed to get it, how would itachi find it except they come with his eyes.

Madara's sword cuz cut any shit in existence, instantly, for miles away. Its enough to be legendary, no, supernatural, kusanagi shit doesnt stand close here.
