I think this arc can provide an opportunity for Isane to develop because we rarely had a chance to see her take a relevant role in the story. Hopefully (this may sound like an asspull) that Isane achieves bankai in this arc so she can attain the role of captain. I would really like to see a couple of chapters focused on her trying so hard to improve herself. She's probably the only person in the 4th division that the division itself can depend on because of her rank as the lieutanent. She's probably the best healer that soul society has as of right now knowing that she was trained under Unohana herself.

As for the 8th division maybe Lisa will return and assume the position of captain like Rose, Shinji, and Kensei did.

Hanataro may have improved during the timeskip, but I doubt he's at the level of Isane. Hanataro should at least be at the level of a 3rd seat or 4th

I'm not being harsh I'm just being realistic. Hanataro from the beginning of the series lacked combat ablities while Isane clearly had experience as she was prepared to fight Ichigo during the Soul Society arc. Hanataro may have improved on his combat and kido during the timeskip, but Isane could have improved as well meaning Hanataro still isn't up to her exact level but hopefully close.
