If we actually saw a Minato vs Itachi episode...

If itachi wins agains minato....then 5th hokage is itachi.....
If i not forget time line is like this
Minato 4th hokage ( itachi is anbu lvl ) ---- sasuke born ( then naruto ) and minato death ( itachi anbu lvl or more ) ------ the 3rd become hokage again ---- after 4 years ( when sasuke enter academy and itachi wipe uchiha with MS )

So if itachi is strong like you all say that he have bla bla bla..... Then why not 3rd chosse itachi as 5th hokage....????
Will of fire?? I 100% sure itachi have it.....
Village not vote for him??? Proof from the manga he owning all uchiha clan

Need more proof??? Hashirama seft told he chose madara as 2nd, but village chose tobi....why???? Tobi more have will of fire not like madara.... Read hashirama flash back and read when madara spoke to tsunade about will of fire...

So now... Can you tell me why hiruzen not chose itachi?? But like you say itachi is stronger than minato...

People are entitled to their own opinion. But it's stupid to guess about who would win when we've seen very little of Minato actually fighting.

Until the extent of Minato's abilities are revealed. I'll stick with this; Both Itachi and Minato are extremely high level shinobi that are masters in their chosen profession as shinobi. Both of them could kill each other without much effort if they even slipped up for a second.

you are right... yes we've seen a little bit about Minato, just we heard from many ninja how strong he was but i will go with minato cause i believe only ftg and rasenga with this power he was not chosen for hokage, i think he has something more dangerous jutsu
