Do not consider who may be cooler or stronger or better than the other cos for example, Raikage is waaaaay stronger than Naruto, but if they were to fight in the story, somehow Naruto would end up winning...so if the plot somehow led to a point in the story where Itachi and Minato had to fight, who do you think would have won? *Take "Plot no Jutsu" into serious consideration*

Well minato is so quick itachi couldn't hit him and after some time iachi will fall for using to muck the mangekyo sharingan so minato stomps his ass

Since plot no jutsu has a bearing here, the winner will also be decided by "Plot no jutsu" only. Guessing wouldn't be correct coz we're not sure about the plot itself. Only a few battles in naruto have been decided by the match ups, rest have been decided by plot no jutsu anyway

People are entitled to their own opinion. But it's stupid to guess about who would win when we've seen very little of Minato actually fighting.

Until the extent of Minato's abilities are revealed. I'll stick with this; Both Itachi and Minato are extremely high level shinobi that are masters in their chosen profession as shinobi. Both of them could kill each other without much effort if they even slipped up for a second.

Regardless of who Kishi thinks would win, there will always be an argument over those two.

If Kishi made Minato win, Itachi fans would claim 'plot-no-jutsu' BS and spam threads about Itachi's abilities and how he would win.
Likewise, if Kishi made Itachi win, Minato fans would do the same by complaining about how it is 'only for the plot' and would spam threads about Minato's techniques.

Minato ,,there are plenty of ways for avoiding Itachi's attacks, but it is Impossible for Itachi to attack Minato, he can't keep up with him by any means even if he is able to Predect Minato's movements,having power means nothing if it isn't useful in a battle ,,,,,,,,,,

Itachi uses susanoo , then activates amaterasu which is almost instantaneous then one hit KO's Minato U_U


Or Itachi's genjutsu can F*** Minato up.

Minato throws 50 kunai surrounding Minato in a 100m grounding. Then keeps on attacking Itachi simultaneously with rasengan + teleportation from his kunai . Then all of a sudden uses Hirashin Version 2 with RASENGAN!!!! O_O


Either way, interesting fight, since i'm an Uchiha fan. I'm going to say Itachi>Minato ​
