Will fans revolt if Sasuke betrays Team 7 again?

Honestly I think Kishimoto is alluding to this with

1) Jugo's comment about Sasuke
2) Orochimaru not being present
3) Sasuke summoning a snake and not a hawk

Something about Sasuke hearing Konoha's history from Hashirama and then changing his mind about revenge... Honestly, it makes no sense at all. It's either horrible writing or foreshadowing.

He never said he changed his mind against revenge, he wanted to stop Madara and Obito from destroying the peace that Itachi sacrificed himself for. He still hates Konoha for what they did to Itachi and the Uchiha clan.

he pretends to be on Naruto's side and he wanted to check out the layout of the war so far and see who was winning.
Jugo's comment was pretty interesting indeed. Snake summoning wasn't too damaging for Sasuke's good kid image..
He was smart enough to know not to mess with Hashirama after seeing him first hand(listening to his story)
and his comments about betrayers of the leaf will be killed by him..

Well, I think sasuke wants to fulfill itachi's wish to protect the village therefore he wants to be hokage. But yeah I would rather see sasuke on good terms with the leaf than persuading this worthless revenge against the leaf.

It'd be pretty epic if Kakashi and Obito worked things out and then Sasuke killed Obito anyways. I want to see Sasuke gut Sakura and kill her right in front of Naruto, and drive home the idea that "Yeah, I'm really evil"

This is fact. He'll never be able to please everyone, but I do hope Sasuke has turned over another Leaf (oh yeah, that pun was intended). Betraying the Leaf at this point would be... I don't know, too much? I don't think he really likes anyone from Konoha. He even said he didn't care about any of them when he showed up on the battlefield. I do think he wants to try and protect what Itachi gave up his life for.

That could all just be wishful thinking on my part though. Because while I hope he is 100% back in Team Seven, I also don't trust him completely.

I don't think the snake means anything more than he was trained by Orochimaru. That's what Sasuke learned to summon under him, just like Naruto learned to summon Frogs under Jiraiya and Sakura slugs under Tsunade. I believe that scene was just to show the new gen of Sannins.

Fighting against Team 7 (Naruto itself) would be fighting against Itachi's wishes... so, answering your question... yeah, fans would revolt, but it's almost impossible that happens.

Revenge isn't out of his mind. But I think (as for the hokages answer) he is starting to act as a true Shinobi and he is 'enduring' the pain inside in order to overcome the hatred and finally finding inner peace. That's the same answer Naruto found on Pain's Arc.
