I was just reading a Thread on NB on how all Villains get TnJ'ed.... But when it comes to the Akatsuki.... Nearly half of them committed suicide.... And if not for them to do so in some cases.... They could have won.... The trend setter was Akatsuki's very own Leader Yahiko.... After that many other followed his footsteps....
Yahiko - First Leader of Akatsuki.... Stabbed himself to protect Nagato and Konan....
Sasori - Could have dodged Chiyo's attack and killed her and Sakura.... Still got himself killed so that he could die in his parents embrace rather than killing his grandmother.... As said by Chiyo herself....
Diedara - Got worked up because Sasuke was giving him a hard time.... Blew himself up....
Itachi - Purposely let Sasuke kill him to make Sasuke the Hero who avenged The Uchiha of Konoha....
Nagato - Second Leader Of Akatsuki.... TnJ'ed by Naruto.... Used Renni Tensei even though he kew he would die....
Kisame - Got captured by Gai and Co.... Let his own Shark Summons eat him....
They were all formidable Shinobi's but choose to die.... Had they lived.... Some of them could have won....
So with this Trend of suicide how do you think Obito will die.... My guess is....
PROBABLY
Obito - Third Leader Of Akatsuki.... TnJ'ed by Kakashi/Naruto.... Died while protecting Team 7....
