Do you guys think Kishi planned out things ahead of time after part 1? I read in some interview that he has the ending set in his mind, but he doesn't exactly know how events will go to get to that ending. For some reason to me, it seems like he's been making stuff up as he goes, but sometimes he makes things connect. An example would be something like this

Like did he plan to have Obito use 6 paths from the beginning? Or did he just notice that only 6 of the beasts had bodies to go back to so he just decided to make them have an appearance?

Also, the Rin being a jinchuriki thing. Do you think that was planned? It just seemed too random to me, like he hadn't thought about it before, and just made it up as he went along.

I'm just rambling, but I think y'all get what I'm saying. Do you think Kishi actually plans everything out or no?

Usually everything is already planned out, but if something comes up that sounds better, then they will go ahead and change it.

When did you think the Rin-jinchuuriki thing was planned? If you look at the original Rin-death panel, she did have the tell-tale beast-chakra bubbles floating around her. I noticed them the first time, couldn't figure out what they were and thought maybe that's evidence of a genjutsu or something. When it was revealed she was a jinchuuriki, then it was clear. It had to have been planned since at least that far back.

I think he has the big things, the key points blocked out, but everything in between is a mix of what he wants, what the editors/publishers tell him to do, and last-minute "oh crap I need another panel here"s.

I DIDN'T think it was planned. I said it seemed too random to me. And no those bubbles weren't chakra bubbles

Well I think they are chakra bubbles, and I will continue to think that they are and not just believe you just because you say so.

what were they?
If not chakra bubbles, then soap bubbles. Kakashi killed Rin resoaping the hole so he can blow some more.

Rin hadn't yet mastered the technique of using her pores to blow them like Bee can.

As you said, he said himself that he only has the ending planned out in his head, he has the dialogue, drawing, scenes, and story for the ending set in stone, and he said he just fills in everything leading up to the ending. So basically he doesn't have everything besides the ending set in stone/written down.

Kishimoto-sensei: Not everything is set in stone just yet. For example, I haven’t decided on the events that lead to the end, but the end itself has been decided pretty clearly. So from here on out it will just be a matter of running towards that point.

Masashi Kishimoto: Yes, I have the last episode clearly drawn in my mind. I've already decided on the layout, text, and scenes. Not just the story ideas, but the visual ideas are solid.
All I have to do is just head toward the ending I have, but there are still so many things that need to be resolved before reaching that point. Maybe I have thrown in too many ideas, so I need to wrap them up neatly.

I made a thread on that way back when it was revealed. My guy on the pannels before that you had the kanji for aninmal sound effects as well as explosions. Go back to when she was in the cave it was noted her chakra flow was unusually stubborn. Obito wouldn't have recognized the difference, because he just awakened his blood line trait.

I get why people crack Kishi, but a lot of the obvious stuff is overlooked and things like Obito being Tobi are sutbly hinted.

I remember back when I lurked here reading threads where people thought Minato was Pain and that there was no way he was Naruto's father, because it's too obvious.

I think he must mix and adapt to his public in order to get more success. I bet he plans but there are few things he improvises in order to give a surprise factor.
