(Question) What's The Deal With Sasuke? - Chapter 633

Hey guys, what's up, AfricanProdigy bringing you the latest. I've been very inactive for awhile (at least 3-4 weeks) due absolutely no motivation to make a thread during that time and being piled high with AP class homework, and I apologize. But anyway, let's cut to the chase:
So on the topic of Naruto Chapter 633, I really enjoyed it. But on the last page when Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke performed the Summoning Jutsu, Naruto summoned the Boss Toad, Sakura Katsuyu (which was pretty cool to see) and Sasuke a SNAKE. What's really confusing me is that I thought that Sasuke got stripped of Orochimaru's powers, so he could no longer perform any of [Orochimaru's] Jutsu, which includes the summoning of snakes. It would've made more sense for him to summon his trademark hawk, but I guess that isn't the case. What are your thoughts on this? Is it reasonable that Sasuke could summon a snake or is it not, and maybe this is leading into something bigger where maybe Orochimaru allowed Sasuke to obtain his powers again through certain means off-screen?

I believe he already made a pact with the snake dudes just like naruto did with the toad dudes so he's entitled to summoning those dudes

Theres really no proof you can't have two summoning contracts. However what I'm more interested in is that Sasukes snake contract remains even though he sacrificed manda for his own life. Ha I guess snakes aren't very loyal in the end and neither is Sasuke.

Having Orochimaru exorcised from his body doesn't negate the contract he would have already made to summon the snakes. No doubt the rumor that Sasuke could no longer summon snakes came from this forum, but him actually retaining his abilities shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who possesses basic reason. Kishimoto never stated that his ability to summon snakes was dependent on Orochimaru, this like many other asinine ideas come from the fantards.

It's just dumb because he personally stated that he had risen above that of a snake and ascended to a hawk, which was a huge moment in the development of sasuke, when they changed from team hebi to team hawk. so it is kinda dumb that he would go back to summoning snakes, thematically.

Yeah no. Nothing you said is coherent. Sasuke stating he was above the snake was symbolic i.e. in his view he was beyond Orochimaru. That doesn't mean he's dumb enough to "not" use techniques he learned while under his tutelage.

I thought Sasuke didn't like snakes either because of their affiliation with Orochimaru and Kabuto, but maybe Kishimoto-san is just showing the readers that the three have now surpassed their mentors. Who knows?

Maybe he canceled the contract with the hawk off-screen after the fight with Danzo and Team 7 and decided to get a contract with the snakes???

I know, right? Pretty much agree with everything you said! You'd think he'd choose the "superior" hawk instead of the snake...Kishimoto better explain this.

When Jiraiya began teaching Naruto to summon frogs, he showed Naruto the giant scroll on his back which had a list of all the beasts he made a contract with and Naruto stated and I quote "Wow so many of them." This simplistic way of thinking should be accessible for at least two of you. If we look at Jiraiya as a model there is no limit to how many beasts a shinobi can form a contract with.

Sasuke, summoning the hawk has in no way removed his contract with the snake, and, further, and follow me here, Sasuke, in summoning the snake, has in no way removed his contract with the hawk. I'm going to have to bring helmets for you all every time a new chapter comes out.

actually naruto summoned Gamakichi not the boss toad manda is dead so sasuke summoned a different snake and sakura most likely summoned a different slug since the other two summoning's are different.i think Katsuyu is still with tsunade.

I just think that Kishi doesn't care anymore and is just doing fan service to be honest, that's what the last months of chapters have been in my eyes , really. lol

Manda is a better fighting summon, opposed to the hawk. I mean the hawk doesn't even have a name.
