They did a fantastic job showing the Red Wedding exactly as it was written, I loved the episode and I very much respect an author who's not afraid to kill fan favorite characters.

Robb had it coming, he should have kept his promise. Filch is a terrific actor!

Arya, meh I still can't like her.

Apparently it was a little different in the books? Such as Catelyn went crazy after Rodd died?
It wasn't that different. Cat did pretty much the same thing except not with Walder Frey's wife. She said something like a son for a grandson. And I think she was stabbed in the throat instead of slit. But the show did this scene right.

Hopefully there will be some more revelations in the next episode. Without spoiling, this season is only half of the the Third Book "Storm of Swords" in the Song of Ice and Fire series. So I won't comment on anyones' speculations and theories.

Hell yeah. When the people you don't root for don't pull punches on the people you do. I like that. And the fact that everyone can be either turn out to be good or evil but still respect the characters anyway.

Arya is awesome and cute. Now Robb, he was awesome as a leader, I really liked him and his wolf.

I'm pretty sure the only character that he will not kill is Tyrion cause that's like everybody's favorite including G.R.R Martin lol

and how do you not like Arya?

You don't find that in many series, willingness to kill off 'main' characters. I guess because there are so many characters who can be portrayed as 'main' characters.

He is a great actor, they way he just sat there, gave this evil smirk and drank his wine whilst Robb and Catelyn were put through hell.
Catelyns actor also did a fantastic job in this episode. It's too bad i don't like Catelyn. haha

My butt is beyond hurt right now. I feel raped. Damn you, Walder Frey! Nay, damn you, George R. R. Martin!! :( I have conflicting feelings. First, I thought that was one of the most epic endings to an episode of any show. Ever. Even better than when Ned died. Second, I loved Robb, he was my favorite. So with him dead, I kind of feel lost in the show right now. I don't know which side I'm rooting for anymore. Guess I'll root for Tyrion and Jaime.

Nice trivia about Catelyn knowing the song that was played though.

He was good in war, but not king material. He admitted it himself when he said that he has won all the battles but he is losing the war. There's a difference between a general and a ruler; see Tywin for example.

Tyrion will surprise you and he is my favorite character as well :p
The thing with Arya at this point is that she doesn't know who she is and what she wants. She has 3 death - wishes and she uses them not simply poorly but in an absolutely idiotic way. Then, she gets the chance to kill the Hound and she doesn't. I guess, in a very weird way she reminds me of Cersei; they both overestimate their abilities and strengths.

Me neither. I disliked her since the first chapter and when I read the rest I was like 'kill that [you know what] already Martin'.

I'm more sad that Grey Wind died over anyone else. This was a Stark full episode and you can see all little of Ned in all his children except Sansa. The fairness in Arya sparing the old man. The duty in Robb in trying to make ammends (even though it was for an army. The devotion in Bran and Rickon to protect each other.

I left out Jon on because i don't think he's a child of Ned.

I never really liked her that much either, except for when she protected Bran. She always seemed like such a sour *****. But the way she died, trying to protect her son was very sad to watch nonetheless.

That ending : O

I didnยดt care much for Robb but I felt bad for him, damn..what an episode
Robb has been through the most pain in the whole series. Losing his dad, losing his wife and baby in his arms, Winterfell burnt down, Bran and Rickon are missing who he thinks are dead and his 2 sisters he believed to be captives at Kings Landing.

Then she shouldn't have freed Jaime. And this is one of the things I love about GoT; every thing that happens, every word said, much like a domino, has an effect. Maybe not directly, but it does. Had Cat not freed Jaime, her son would be alive. Had Robb kept his promise, he might have become King. Had Ned not become Robert's Hand, he might still be the Lord of Winterfell...and so on.

RIP Grey Wind, that saddened me as well.

And let me guess:

Spoiler ahead do not open if you haven't read the books:

I know they will open it anyway so I will ...encrypt it O_O

R + L = J ?

Yeah, words in particular are really powerful in GoT. That's one of my favorite aspects about it, the dialogue.

Yes :) It's well written alright, but he needs to start writing faster :p It's been 2 years since ADOD and there's no book in the horizon xD

To return on topic, the next episode is gonna be even more surprising than this one. :D

He'll probably write about half of it, then die :|

I can't wait for the next episode! Hope that curse that Stannis did will take down Joffrey then!

Yeah. Nail on the head. Won't be mad if I'm wrong though. Hoping for TWoW to be out 2015 or sooner.

Didn't see the promo for the next episode yet. But the season finale usually sets up for next season. Then ten more months of waiting.
