Well now that the bulk of the war has finished and it's just Obito and Madara yeah the Alliance needs to go away.

Naruto has more offensive power than the alliance in my opinion. I think Shikaku made a mistake by gathering the alliance around Naruto and Bee. They are nothing more than obstacles and now Naruto feels the need to protect them too. The only thing they are gathered for is to witness the epicness of the big fishes(such as Naruto, Sasuke, Hokages etc)
