Hello everyone, just registered. 1st post. I have been reading the discussion and predictions posts for a while now, and i decided to pinch in. Well, i found this chapter a little boring to be honest. While many of the supporting characters got power ups, the chapter didn't advance a single step plot wise. That is what annoyed me mostly.
The 1st page where Naruto and Sasuke are commenting on each others powers was good. And Kiba's power up was good too. I just think it could have been handled better. I don't mind them showing their new skills and abilities, on the contrary, i would find it odd that only Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura, em...leveled up....
Kishimoto could have showed their new powers by giving them some task to do while in the barrier. For example, he could have written the Juubi trying to mold chakra, which would alarm Naruto about the possible final power up of Juubi. Then Naruto would have called for the other teams to help them clear the path towards the real Juubi, not the fodder.
Then it would be actually useful plot wise to see them show of their skills as they cleared the path for Team 7 to engage the Juubi. And have them keep fighting the juubi-fodder while Team 7 engages the Juubi, so that the fodder doesn't overwhelm Team 7 (they can't fight everyone simultaneously).
Because right now we just saw them show off on a situation that few minutes ago was life and death. Doesn't work like that.
And also, he should have shown the entire shinobi alliance sitting down and molding chakra too, to show that they are not just worthless fodder but are getting ready to act too. This ''war'' is supposed to be won by everyone, not Konoha's shinobi only, else what's the point of having them there?
Finally, the summon's were meh, what's the point of them summoning? They are going to get owned by the real Juubi anyway, that thing makes tornadoes and earthquakes ffs, they can't stand up to it. Well anyway, that's it. What do you think?
