Konohamaru may have a power up comming

We haven't seen konohamaru in quite a long time. The last time we saw him, he was using rasengan and shadow clones (the essence of naruto's arsenal).

Being the grandson of the professor, he has a high likely hood of mastering all the jutsu in konoha and maybe acquiring enma. He could quite possibly even attain SM because of being tutored by naruto and steadfastly following in his footsteps.

Anyway, to the point. I think naruto may be fighting konohamaru soon, and konohamaru will be getting a massive powerup. Kishi seems to have hinted alot in the first few chapters of this manga. Is it possible that there is going to be some battle royal for hokage candidacy? Or possibly not a Sasuke vs NAruto fight like we want, but a potentially more intense Konohamaru vs naruto?

Let's be honest, Sasuke vs naruto might be dull... It's basically a rehash of hashi vs madara. EMS Uchiha Vs Guy with strong body and SM.

I seriously doubt that. He's still a kid, it would be dull/absurd/mainstream (can't find a proper adjective Lol) if he suddenly got Enma and even SM. No more people with SM, please. It loses all the importance.
He already has two useful and powerful jutsus, i think its enough considering he's not of much importance to the manga. Honestly, i never found him interesting and i wouldn't mind if i only saw him once more in the end of the manga (to know how he ended or something).

Edit: And how is Konohamaru suppose to fight 1v1 against the Kurama jinchuuriki who also has SM and in base is more than able to defeat him? It wouldn't make sense either. At least if Naruto and Sasuke had a fight, there would be no more discussion between fanboys (actually it would prevail considering the possible circumstances).

I don't know what you mean.
Don't you think there's enough people already with SM? If lots of characters had it, what would the point be? Its suppose to be something rare and special, not mainstream. Kishi would be trolling if he gave Konohamaru SM or something else powerful at this point.

Not necessarily SM. It was a suggestion. I don't know what kishi would want to give him, but hiruzen was a hokage and he doesn't have SM, or OP senju/Uchiha DNA. Konohamaru fighting on par with a jinchuriki isn't a stretch. He is technically an important character, being one of naruto's rival and all.
infact, Konohamaru has been out of commision for soooo many chapters. From the pain arc seeing naruto go SM, konohamaru could've probably gone to search for one of the many Sage areas(like jiraiya did) and he's now training in some sage mode. It doesn't need to be frog SM, it doesn't even need to be SM. Maybe he found the Enma scroll and now he's training with the monkey king - that'd significantly boost his agility, stamina and strength.

I just think it'd be more interesting to watch 2 ninja strategically using Shadow clones, summonings, shuriken, and pretty much all we've seen so far. Instead of the obvious BM vs susano'o that'll be naruto vs sasuke... Naruto vs sasuke would just be naruto dodging entons and lightning while trying to speed blitz a susano'o. One guy isn't even moving. kinda dull.

Sage mode is just being one with nature. There'd be alot of point to it if alot of ninja had it, it would signal that they have acheived mastery over their body and the natural environment, effectively proving why they're above other ninja. SM isn't about some new jutsu, it just increases your base skill. A loser with SM is still a Loser. You need skill to properly use SM. For that matter, all the previous hokage could have had a complete/incomplete SM. It'd at least explain what makes them a bit special from the other 10k+ shinobi in the village. Anyway, SM has it's drawback of needing to meditate. IMO, SM is more interesting or strategical to watch than Susano'o/BM. At least in SM you're not some pseudo-god who doesn't need to care about being beaten. Plus, you did work hard for it - risking death and all for weeks/months/years.

I know, but he is just a kid who Kishi already gave a bit of attention during the Pain Invasion and that's it, other than that he's as relevant as Tenten. The manga isn't going to last much longer and there're more important/interesting characters to take care of.

He would be more important if he was older, but he's 12 and he isn't more genius than Naruto learning through experience, it sounds cheap the possibility of him suddenly finding Enma and also be able to pull SM out of his ass. Kishi doesn't seem to care about him other than using him for comical relief (most of his arsenal his hentai for god sake XD).

Nooo, SM is not something everyone can obtain. Oro is a genius, yet he couldn't complete the training, not even reach an imperfect form.
What makes an Hokage or any kage level shinobi stand out is their exceptional abilities, it doesn't need explanation U_U
