Would genjutsu work on the Eight Branches technique (Oro's hydra jutsu)

Let's say Oro is fighting a known Genjutsu user like Itachi, Kurenai, Danzo etc.. Would that work on Oro if he stays hidden in the hydra ? Genjutsu affects the victim's brain but that technique gives the user 8 different brain structures + their own.

I believe that unless Oro shows his face and gets hit by it, genjutsu probably isn't an efficient way to fight the hydra technique. What do you think ?

Note: I know some people will say Itachi soloes TWICE. Well sorry but that isn't an Itachi vs Oro thread. We all know the outcome of that match up.

Oh good point, I didn't think about that. Sasuke was able to put Manda in genjutsu and control him. Does anyone know if the Sharingan would be able to do the same against Oro's hydra jutsu?

well technically the totsuka sword is an eternal genutsu so... xd probably not but someone like 4th raikage won't have trouble slicing the heads off

Hm it's Oro controling the hydra. An Uchiha could never put 8 genjutsus on the hydra to control it or restrict his movements.

Not likely. Oro isn't dumb enough to make each head stares at an Uchiha. But I get your point.

Manda only has one brain while the hydra has 8 different brains. An uchicha cold probably control one but not all of them

Technically speaking, that is how it got destroyed. Oro and the juts were sealed by the Totsuka blade. "It is an ethereal weapon with an enchanted blade capable of sealing anything it pierces. Those who are stabbed by the sword are drawn into the jar and trapped in a genjutsu-like "world of drunken dreams" for all eternity" (From Naruto Wikia). So if you count the blade, then yeah genjutsu does work on it.

"Can Itachi use Genjutsu on Sasuke's Susano'o"
"Can Itachi use Genjutsu on the Six Paths of Pain"
"Can Itachi use Genjutsu on the Four Masks of Kakuzu"
"Can Itachi use Genjutsu on Deidara's Clay Birds"
"Can Itachi use Genjutsu on Sasori's Human Puppets"

No, because Genjustu does not work on techniques.
