Minato Namikaze was a complete failure as a teacher
Obito was right. Minato failed to protect his students, what kind of Sensei is that? He even failed to protect his wife (you mad, fanboys?) He let hardly a jounin and 2 more kids to go in a death mission ALONE. Rin and Obito(though he survived) are probably the only ones who died, no other Sensei let this happening at that time. He never regretted Obito's death.
He let Rin die, did exactly the same mistake twice, which makes him even worse of a teacher. He didn't even mention that when he regret in front of the previous Hokages and Sasuke. It's so egotistical of him.
Didn't even live long enough to protect his village as Hokage and basically throws away his live AFTER failing at killing a 14-16 yrs old kid, who could use Izanagi but luckily Obito already controlled Kurama at full chakra so it was impossible for him to use it, imagine if. Or if Obito had lit Minato up with Mokuton.
It was all like "hurry up I've gotta meet my son". What's up with his mind, did he ever consider that he had other important people in his life? Disgusting.
Naruto is even worse. He thought he could end an entire war on his own. Disgusting hubris, and unrealistic trust in one's own abilities. In the end Naruto escaped Edo Nagato due to Itachi's intervention, proving again Itachi >> Minato. Even Hashirama admitted this much. Despite wanting to be Hokage he has never taken any action in the series to actually understand Konoha's past or to realize what leadership actually means. The fact of the matter is he is immature and totally unqualified to lead anything, let alone be Hokage.
