Ok, so I mostly just creep the forum and I never post anything. After days of pointless Sakura-bashing (I'm fairly certain it's reached its all-time peak) I felt the need to finally post this. Regardless of my post, if you still disagree on pairings, keep it to you preferred parings' thread. Stop pointlessly trolling the pairing you dislike's thread. Seriously, these days a single thread about Sakura can't be made without a series of pointless anti-Sakura trolls popping up.
NaruHina fans are blatantly wrong and always have been. They consistently cite the anime as a source. This isn't correct. The anime makes up stories about Naruto and Hinata that never happen in the manga.
Hinata is not like Kushina, Sakura is. Stop trying to argue otherwise. Kishi confirmed it in this chapter. Straight up confirmed. Shut up and stop pointlessly trying to validate your baseless argument.
And since the last three chapters have come out there's this constant need for NaruHina fans to compulsively comment on any thread involving Sakura, regardless of if it has anything to do with pairings. They know they're wrong. Now they're just going to sulk in their own misery and pointlessly trolly Sakura threads. Get over it. You're wrong. Your pairing won't happen. Stop trolling Sakura threads. As much as you want to pointlessly argue that she isn't important or useful, she is. There are four MAIN characters in the manga: Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, and Sakura. Anyone with a scrap of brain-power and social awareness can read the first five chapters of the manga and infer (correctly I may add) that Naruto and Sakura will end up together.
Seriously, in chapter 3 when we first meet Sakura, Naruto states "Haruno Sakura, a cute girl that I am interested in." 36 chapters later when he glosses over Hinata he states "Hyuga Hinata, A werido who looks away when I look at her, a shy, dark girl." From the very beginning the pairings have been plainly out in the open.
I don't understand why NaruHina fans or Sakura bashers in general are up in arms over Kishi focusing for three of the current chapters (3 out of 632) on one of his four main characters. Hinata is fodder. Her only reason for even existing in the manga is to provide tension. Her role is to make it look like Naruto has options with women. She's serves no other purpose than to provide tension leading up to the eventual confirmation of NaruSaku. This entire board is full of butthurt Sakura bashers and NaruHina fans that clearly don't understand simple literary plots or plot devices.
And since most of the anti-Sakura brigade consistently cite events in the manga without using intellect to validate their points I'll explain some of these events:
Sakura thinking of Sasuke in the medical tent: Sakura isn't like "Yep I love Sasuke!" She thinks about her old crush on him and then clearly looks miserable thinking about it. She clearly isn't in love with him in that scene. She's like "Dayum! I was majorly crushing on an evil douche."
The interview where Kishi supposedly says that Sakura loves Sasuke: First of all, all of the people citing this are citing a bad translation of an interview. Kishi was speaking sarcastically when he answered the question. In the rest of the interview he goes on to refer to the scene with Sakura and Naruto in the Iron Country and he says "She knows what she really wants. She wasn't lying."
In the current chapter she says "Sasuke-kun!" a bunch of times. People think that this means that she loves Sasuke again. No. She's simply verbalizing her surprise at the current situation. The last time she saw him they tried to kill each other and he nearly killed her. She's simply surprised that he's switched sides and is willing to protect her after their failed attempts at murdering each other.
There's multiple scenes and pages throughout the manga that clearly point to NaruSaku happening.
Ok, we get it. You think that Sakura is useless. Regardless, she's still one of the four main characters of the manga. Obviously after not doing anything with her for roughly hundreds of chapters Kishi was going to give her a major power boost.
Whenever Kishi adds in a color spread besides the ones with opponents on them, the images are all of Team 7. Sakura's in these colored spreads. Like 20 chapters ago the spread said "Heroes and Heroines...." The image was of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. Clearly Kishi is referring to Sakura as the "heroine" of the manga. Not Hinata.
And because this will inevitably get brought up as well: There is simply no basis to the argument that Hinata is stronger than Sakura. We've seen what, roughly two actual scenes of Hinata fighting. One is the preliminary Chunnin Exam match against Neji where she gets annihilated. The other is when she "fights" pain and is slapped away like fly. The scene from a few chapters ago where she shoots some palm strike thing into the Juubi doesn't matter, everyone in the damn manga practically got Naruto's Kyubbi cloak and were getting power ups.
Regardless of the number times Sakura cries, she's still beaten an Akatsuki member and has punched the crap out of numerous giant beasts in various chapters. She's the disciple of a Hokage and one of the new Sannin. There would be no contest in a Sakura vs. Hinata match.
