[Discussion] What is so good about one piece?

This anime looks so dumb, silly and boring. I tried to watch it but it just isn't for me. I don't know why people get all hyped for it, some people saying its the best anime in the world(i know its their opinion). Can someone tell me whats so good about it, and tell me if i should force myself to watch it because its worth it. Thanks.

The first 100 episodes are little boring but after that the show gets way better.

Its funny, good development in all areas, characters are well made, epic battles and more stuff. I found it dumb at first but I am hooked now.

Onepiece>fodder naruto I said the same thing at first but it's better animated, better written, better storyline, and there's no bullshit one day power ups...

Well I am a anime fanatic and I have to say that I just keep One Piece on the back burner for when I have no other anime to watch. I am currently watching Naruto, Fairy Tail, Yu Gi Oh, and One Piece. I have also watched several others, but One Piece is on the bottom of my viewability list.

i havent watched the anime but i read the manga
i dont know why people say it starts off slow either it has a flashback of why the main character wants to be a pirate and how he got his powers then it shows him sailing off to find a crew
it's funny the powers are great it even has it's sad moments
you dont even know what you're missing out on but oh well

I think cause the onepiece world is full of mysteries and unanswered questions, so many characters and good development, there is a sense of adventure, my main reason is what is the world governments true intentions, how is neptunes daughter an ancient weapon called poseidon, how is it that luffy can understand the sea kings but he is not the weapon. and many things. =D

Hehe, I just started watching it today and I like it so far.

Not as good as Hunter x Hunter, but easily as good as Naruto.

I seriously recommend Attack on Titan and Hunter x Hunter(2011) to anyone looking for a new anime.

If you hate Naruto then why are you on a website dedicated to Naruto? If you like one piece wouldn't it make sense to be a member of one piece bay?

I admit though the power ups are unbalanced and although I like how strong the characters are do miss the fighting in part 1

Id say so, It gets great once your up to the Water 7 Arc, Superior to Naruto IMO

One piece suck IMO, baby drawings, too many characters, crazy storyline. I don't recommend it.
