In this
thread I would like to outline why Sasuke in his EMS form is superior to Minato when he was alive. I've seen many suggest that its the other way around.

First things first​

The recent chapter has spurred on a ton of controversy about the match up. Though I would like to point out that this thread pertains to Minato when he was alive, hence negating his KCM.

Now lets continue onto the rest of the thread.

Susano'O

Minato's Shunshin speed is all but negated by Susano'O. His speed can still be percieved by the Sharingan (

). Meaning even when Sasuke is in base,

. This is especially bad if he decides to add Blaze Release to the mix when he does so (

If he struck with a Kunai, not only will it break (

) Minato himself will be covered in Amaterasu. Ending the battle on a simple reaction.

Sasuke also doesn't need to concern himself with using other jutsu to main offence. He can simpley have Susano'O attack to force him to keep Minato on the defensive. (

Genjutsu

Genjutsu will also play a part in the eventual set up for a finishing blow to Minato.

Minato is no less suceptable to Genjutsu than others. He's had no special training to avoid contact as Guy has. Sasuke can even cast Genjutsu at distance (

). Sasuke even cast Genjutsu in non-eye contact situations (

The Genjutsu used against Danzo is his most effective in this situation. As its easier to land than his MS paralization Genjutsu and Minato will be unaware to the incoming attack, as Minato has no way of discerning such.

Sasuke only needs to cast one succesfull Genjutsu to set up for a finishing blow on Minato, wether it be an Susano'O arrow or Amaterasu.


Amaterasu

Amaterasu has no direct use in this battle. Minato can use FTG to dodge it and Blaze Release is even slower. It's, only real use is a combo after Genjutsu or as a defensive measure in conjunction with Susano'O.

Its ineffective as offensive pressure as Sasuke has other options that are less chakra draining.


Other Options

If Sasuke needs more offensive pressure, He can use Shruiken from within Susano'O (

to help prep for Kirin. As this Justus alone was stated to created the needed conditions for an admitadly, smaller Kirin

The user builds up a large amount of chakra inside them and spits it out in the form of a dragon that charges after its enemy. If mastered the user can spit out multiple dragons. This jutsu places more importance on certainty and power than range. The heat of the jutsu creates an upward draft and even cumulonimbus clouds. The moment the enemy gets caught in the fangs of this dragon they are destined to turn into ashes

Conclusion

The combination of Minato not being able to touch Sasuke due to Blaze Release: Susano'O, will keep Minato on the defensive while Sasuke is left to his own devices to attack and look for a Genjutsu opening. This battle will end with Sasuke either destroying the battlefield and Minato along with it due to Kirin, or Sasuke casting a Genjutsu and landing a finishing blow.

Or Minato could always mess up and make mistake of attacking Sasuke and get covered in Blaze Release.

If you look closely you will notice that they don't touch Mei at all. They simply join their hand in order to perform the jutsu. Which means they teleported Mei without touching her

There is clearly a radius in the technique

What's even more impressive is that he can apparently even teleport different entities depending on his own will. On the Gamabunta example for example, notice he teleported Kyubi without touching him, but didn't teleported the one he was in contact with(Gamabunta). Like in latest chapter, he teleported Tobirama and Hiruzen in 2different markings

These guys(Hachibi included) had absolute no idea about what happened. Minato actually appeared and warped the Bijuudama so fast that no one understand what happened. For them it was just a sort of miracle, and even until now, they never understood that it's infact Minato who saved their life, and thought it was the Hokage in the whole smh who stopped the attack after seeing them:

Certainly they didn't consider someone, at least not former Hokage to appear and to clear the situation but considered to be annihilated. While I'm not putting Minato's ability into question, I wonder what this scan should prove.

If warping the opponent away to another location equals victory, Minato beats Sasuke, but he has no real way of dealing damage to him.

Him having a random Kunai in a volcano or something else is however an assumption; it's not like the Kunai at this rock in the ocean was placed by Minato sometime before. Though they're certainly Kunais that were left by him at some other places too sometime.
