[Discussion] Fairy tail timeskip is realy stupid

I just watched the episode of the timeskip and it is really stupid they dind't even train or something

exactly, its almost like he just wanted to copy all the other people that did time skips, but he didn't want to change the look of his main characters

Fairy tail has slowly gotten very bad and less about plot but more about Hot anime chicks and OP attacks.
If I wanted to see how anime chicks I would watch a Ecchi or Harem anime.
When it comes to OP attacks well I would just watch DBZ.
Personally FT has lost a lot.

in naruto time skip was like 3 yrs and now we back tracking in filler land

Am i the only one who liked the timeskip? It brought the opportunity to introduce new characters and Hiro took the opportunity to do just that ; on top of that it developed other Wizards making Fairy Tail less OP (even though they still won the games) , and he could introduce powers to bring the main characters power levels up in order to come closer to defeating Acnologia and Zeref...

I never have problem with timeskips but the fact that they were frozen in time and didn't age was pretty dumb. If they aged, but didn't train for 7 years and everyone else surpassed their skills, that would at least make some sense.

Lots of animes have time skips, Bleach did, Naruto did. (I dont watch one piece). If you are referring to the 3 month thing, that doesn't count as a time skip.

It was a 7 year time skip where the only thing they did, at least in naruto's the characters train in this one nothing and they practically beat the crap out of everyone in the tournament ( even if they had that upgrade, is too much)

Time skips all SUCK and even the authors themselves know this. If you think of why an author chooses a time skip, the reasons are mainly the following:

1) They want to show characters training, without showing the characters training. Think of one piece and naruto and think why you love them so much. Because... they trained? Right. In the end Fairy Tail had the characters entering a time skip, not getting stronger and getting a magical boost by Urtear. Different methods (you didn't see anyone train), same results, different ethics behind it.

2) Main reason behind time skips is that the stories turn completely off what they used to be. Naruto at start showed you everyone trying for a similar thing with the chunnin exams, then suddenly everyone is a chunnin/jonin. What changes is that the bad guys start to have a meaning and a purpose and still the main essence of the story was kept the same. Bleach shows you Ichigo being a normal human being after the time skip. One piece turned to its full glory with even the author explaining that after the time skip, the subjects depicted would be of a way more mature content (Racism and nuclear weapons were shown so far in just 2 arcs).

Fairy tail shows you something different. Personally I hate time skips because the character design changes, Ft kept that part clean for me without sounding too ridiculous. And their universe changes too, we see FT being the worst guild the mood isn't cheering like the usual FT and the feelings of pride shown in the tournament are rather strong, especially with fights being lost.

The only anime/manga that's worth all the respects of the world is FMA. The protagonist grows up (literally) the more the story progresses. From the first volume to the last, you can notice he gets taller, a bit more muscular and turns from a boy to a young man little by little

wow gtfo lol thats a long ass time you might as well have renamed the anime cutting out 7 yrs of your characters lives and for them being op while sittting home eating bon-bons thats ridiculous even in DBZ as much powers as the saiyans had they ALWAYS were training their asses off
