Konohamaru, where dafaq is he?

Seein the 3rd hokage made me wonder: whatever happened to konohamaru? why isn't he helping!? will kishi develop this character any further???

Genin's are not allowed to participate in the War, disregard Naruto and Sasuke lol.

And no, Kishi will not develop Konohamaru anymore, the series is called Naruto and it is almost over. He will not be getting any major character development now.

Putting an inexperienced child into a battlefield would be pointless. He would be traumatized after seeing a single casualty. War is as much a mental battle as it is physical. Konohamaru is still a child.

You never know what Kishi will do, so we can't say right now it's going to end right after this war. It was originally going to just be part 1, then it was supposed to be the Pein arc.. and now we are far beyond that. We are going to get at least another 6 months to a year before it is done and then who knows what's after that. (For his development)

But yeah, all he knows is rasengan and then just basic shit.

I guess they're are pretty stingy about rank unless you're a missing nin or a jinchūriki.

Hes in Konoha I would guess. Not sure if genin go to war. (yes I know hes a chuunin in that Ova but hes not chuunin in the manga until it says he is.)

Nawaki was a genin who died in an explosive trap but I don't know if that was during great ninja war 3 or not, or just some bad accident. I'm guessing in older days in the early wars genin perhaps didn't have that luxury.
Considering konohamaru was one of the first characters kishi drew up it would be surprising if he didn't get some kind of boost up after the war
